esky boi
Im about to chuck the Cortina starter motor onto the Pinto (in the escort), but its one of the ones with the solenoid attatched to it... The Escort one has a solenoid, just seperate from the starter motor right? ...its the little box thing that the positive lead of the battery goes to before it connects to the starter motor?? The question: would it be sweet just to rip the esky one out and connect the wires to the solenoid on the Cortina starter motor You guys who've done the 2 litre, 5 speed conversion what have you done in the way of a starter motor? Don't know that much about 2L escorts but .. yes. Just swap the associated wires over and it will be fine.
SYKOV6
you can just swap them over you may have to lengthen the exciter wire for the starter so it goes when ya turn the key cause the esky ones up on the inner guard and the cortys onthe engine i think its been a long time since ive fucked around with an esky
