SYKOV6
hi guys . i have my ma61 toyota calipers mounted on my mk2 struts but my idea of using mk3 corty calipers spaced 10mm is not gonna work due to clearance issues. DOES ANYONE know of a caliper for a vented disc 250dia - 25mm thick that will bolt on to a mk2 corty strut. ive been told that 80s volvo vented 4 spots will bolt on so if anyones got some PLEASE sell them to me any onfo would b greatly appreciated cheers dave
Draizuh
try those austin princess calipers that were for sale. they fit eskies so they must fit a corty

SYKOV6
nah APs are no good cause they are for a solid disc not a vented. ah your a funny man ivan i kill u last. i dunno if chutes are legal on the street and having to repack em every set of lights would b a bugger

Guest escort_boy
thats right tho. u build a car up and no what is wrong etc and where it is weak. u take it for a wof and u get old jimmy whos 60 years old tryiong to tell u what is wrong with it etc. the thing is the next time they will pass u on the things that they failed you for last time which is stupid! davidian
ok, heres the story hori (get the dozen ready ) rang a couple volvo wreckers and they said for a mean car like yours just go for something new. the old volvo calipers they have are pretty sad. had a nice chat with a chick at one wrecker's that said she personally wouldnt touch them, she said they have some old volvo 4pots but they actually look even sadder than some VW single pots that they have. your best bet is to get some Willwood brand new ones that will get over the disk no prob but you'll have to make up some mounting brackets cause the odds of them bolting up are 1/1000000. they are "dynalite" (smaller) at $248+ gst each or "superlite" (bigger) at $298+gst, so its does cost an arm and a leg but personally id say your car is worth it available from Cardwell Racing Supplies , 32 William Pickering Dve Albany Auckland, 0-9-415 1388, also "Race Brakes" at 0800 brakes! ill se what else is out there
SYKOV6
thanx for that dude. i had priced up some wilwoods but i figured that i could buy and recon the volvos for less. caliper kits are about $30 OR $100 to get them resleeved and kitted. the wilwoods cost $500+gst plus mounting + piping etc for the pair where as i could do most of the work for the volvos myself. how much did they want for the volvos? if u ring again just make sure that they are for a vented disc not a solid cause they make 4 spots for both. apparantly 1980s 6 cyl calipers bolt on

Guest ldgracie
The AP 4 pots pulled up my mates race car from 220k during the targa so should pull up a street car! The one I have for sle are on trademe and have spacers for vented rotors but they suit standard diameter rotors so don't know if they would suit your rotors http://www.trademe.co.nz/structure/auct ... d=23431085 4 pots off a skyline/300zx work very well and the adaptor plate was pretty simple? SYKOV6
thanx for the tip would really like to see your APs got any pics? im not a member of trade me otherwise i might bid pm me if the auction falls over. my discs are 250dia/25mm thick the same dia as mk3 corty. i was goin to space mk3 corty calipers but the extra 10mm made them foul the back of the hub face[back of studs] how wide are the APs from the outside pad face to the front of the casting ?
