  3. Sweet!! 1500? Yea going to keep all those pistons i recon, feel bad cutting it up! If i was to put a rotary in it id like to go 10a but they are pretty fucking rare too now or just go the whole hog 13bbpt. But 1200 it will be i hope
  4. Cheers! Yea will be worth it for sure! Ute was white standard but yes will keep it same kind of colour, have to find out what standard colours they came out in. I like the idea of a mustard/creamy kinda yellow.
  5. Yea seam to see a lot of parts on ebay and what not from Thailand, will have to start stocking up! Hahaha nah man, This ones going to get proper restore love, not going to chop it up. Plan is just full restore and slam as much as i can with out cutting anything.
  6. Yea such a rad wee ute, defiantly got a lot of work to do!!
  7. Hahaha yea man thats pretty much it, the engine swap is a bit rough to say the least! Its not too bad as far as i can see so far, a bit of rust at the bottom of the right B pillar, a wee bit in the left door. The tail gate is too far gone to save though i think. Yea theres a dude with a couple rotarys floating around i think?

  9. How she sits at the moment. About to move house so not much happening.
  10. So I've been floating around these pages for a while now, Had a build thread on here of my 12a 323 wagon. Moved down to Wanaka, left the 323 in my home town of Ohakune. Long story short, the newly built 12a had a knocking rotor bearing so kinda lost all motivation with that old girl. While all this was going on i herd about a Mazda 1200 ute that was up for grabs in Queenstown. So went to check it out, turns out it came up from Stuart Island where an old fella had sitting in one of his sheds on the farm for many years, sold the farm and whatever was in the sheds came with the farm. I had to have it! So i cut a deal with the new owner of the farm and took it straight to work got it running better, cleaned out about 3 tons of dirt that was everywhere! Figured i was just going to get it going, wham a new wof on it and just use it. But time came to put on a new wof and rego had lapsed… Shit. Old owner said it was on hold but its not, Should have checked but was far too excited about this wee girl! Seeing as i need to revin the old girl now i figured id go the whole hog and go balls out full resto. Slow going but any who heres what we are all here for, Pic's!! Some of the dirt! Hard to tell but has had new floor sections put in at some stage. 323 engine and 5 speed, Will be ditching this in place of standard 1200 ASAP!! Stuart Island spec engine mounts NOS Combo switch $$$$ NOS Pillar vents Set of NOS hub caps, Not 100% on what they are off but they are badass!! 11. Cheers guys! Yea was fairly straight untill the weekend, lost a wheel on the way up to summerdrags and it done a bit of damage to the right rear guard. Bit of a ding in the right front guard too, who knows how that happend though! Umm nah it popped up on trademe so i snapped it up that same day it went on! Some guy from Rotorua had it i think? Stoked with it though he sent everything with it! Now i can get rid of the big ugly ass tacho! Yea hotwires set it off i recon aye, got a set of 626 steels that im going to get widened something rediculous too! And shit yea will be at nats for sure, not far for me to travel at all!
  12. Discussion thread > viewtopic.php?f=18&t=32498 Thought it was about time i finaly got round to putting up my wagon. So got it a few years back now from a dude in Taupo, lasted about a month then the water seals went, so stripped the engine bay back to nothing, filled in hole, battery in boot, deloom, new brake lines,3/8 fuel lines, holley pump and reg etc. Got all new 12a parts from work (Advantage of working in a Mazda workshop!) Got Stu Lawton to build a new engine, lightened, balanced, ported, 45mm dorletto side draft etc. Swapped to recess front and chrome bumpers, fitted mazda 1200 guard mirrors, roofracks, set of 13/7 hotwires with 175/50s, fitted racepro bucketseats, new carpets, Got a 5 gauge dash to put in it at some stage, Dont have many pics on this computer but ill put one up for now to show what she looks like at the mo.
