Has it got heated seats? If so, use them rather than any heat function on the HVAC controls.
There's a 20km hit straight off the bat using the heater in the EV6, so I tried the seat heater instead and got my 20km back and was nice and toasty pretty quick. Another 10km if the AC is on, so it's just been used for the initial defrost/demist and then off.
See if there's a battery pre-conditioning option in a menu too, it raises the battery temp and or the cabin temp while charging so your battery is already at optimum operating temp when you unplug and hit the road. That'll see some use here when the wall charger gets installed.

Apologies, about 470mm

A tickle over 410 high I believe.

5-pot Audi - S4/S6 would work. They're made to sit on the left, but some handy work with a Tig and the outlets would point the right way.

sheez, how did you get your mits on one of those?
Edit: not the GT?
Just a GT-Line, more than enough grunt and her back wouldn't survive the seats in the GT.
I really liked the look of the 6 since I first saw one, and when she took my car in for a service I told her to make sure she sits in one just so she at least had an idea of what it was - They had a black GT-Line demo in the showroom, so she made herself at home and then got given the keys for a test drive... Love at first drive or something like that.
They made her an offer on her Niro, she did the numbers and worked it out to be close enough to cost-neutral to be worthy.

I'm not sure what went wrong with the 5 - It ends up looking too tall compared to its length. You're right though, if they could scale it down a bit and make a cheaper, entry grade model called the EV4 or 5 they'd be onto a winning formula.

A couple of day of driving an EV6:
They're disconcertingly large - The designers did a great job of hiding that in the overall shape. It's only when you stand next to it that you realise the wheel/tire is 29" in diameter and when sitting in it, I'm higher than in the Niro.
The momentum you can carry in it is unreal as well - With regen set to 0, I rolled from the hill at the western end of Arapuni village at 70kph, and climbed the small rise past the old church and around the bend where the swing bridge path is at about 62-ish, so nearly 1km of free rolling.
Silence coupled with immediate response to the go-pedal meant some genuinely brown pants moments when overtaking a couple of horse boxes on the way to work yesterday.
Charging isn't a hassle - I've got an RCD equipped lead to granny charge it at home until I get the wall charger installed and have had a couple of juice ups on public chargers, pretty simple once you work the apps out and not any hardship given one of the chargers is a 30sec walk from my local caffeine establishment.

Was going to post that last night - The best part is they actually started with a real Prinz, rather than starting from scratch and making something Prinz-shaped.

Well, the wife has pulled the trigger on an EV6 - Collects it on Thursday.
Traded the Niro, so that'll be a nice introduction to hybrid/low fuel consumption with all the fruit for someone in the used car market.

N/A leaning for altitude compensation is just leaning until you feel some very slight rough-running then yes, back it off on the rich side.
Turbocharged things will usually have you keeping an eye on the EGT gauge and the manual might specify 25° lean of peak, eg: lean it out, then keep going leaner once it's hit peak until you hit the number specified.

Le wife took my car in for a service today - I told her to get acquainted with an EV6...
She hasn't particularly liked the look of them from a distance, but she agreed to have a look.
Got the "heart eyes" emoji a few hours later along with a message that said "I want one ASAP" so now I've got to battle the rain and fading light to get some pics of her Niro for a trade appraisal...

Yeah, likely a lot less room up the front of an Imp compared to a Skoda Estelle but they survived fine without louvers or slots.

Nah, he's throwing a radiator up the front.

Trying to muscle in on the B3 Audi 80's market I guess.
That and 5 pot noises.

He's talking about the ICE one
My ICE Fit can do low 5s on a long run, but around town averages high 6s.
Gotcha. Not quite apples with apples, but the sister in law runs 12yr old Octavia wagon with a 1.4TSI and gets 5.0L/100km on a trip and 6 around town.
-
Why's that? The wife's Niro hybrid is claimed to do 4.4L/100km yet in reality I'll return a repeatable 3.7L/100km. Upright, small SUV shaped object with a 1600 petrol.

What's the overall condition of the engine? I've seen a Hyundai Lantra? where the dipstick did a similar thing but required multiple dips before anything would show.
Sump off revealed a thick layer of hardened sludge within, and a long cone shaped pillar of sludge surrounding the dipstick at a tight enough tolerance that with the dipstick in place, it was oil-tight. Each removal of the stick allowed a little more oil up into the pillar until you'd get a reading.

Thanks for the rec. The Scouts seem to hold their value well, so outta my price range, but there's this sedan/hatch which seems crazy cheap? $10k and it's done 43,000ks. I like it's a diesel. Hmmm.....
<edit> Reading up on it (It's a 2012 model, not 2013 and the DSG gearbox is apparently a potential issue. Might be a 'no' from me
The little example there is a 77kw 1.6Tdi - They come with a 7 speed DRY clutch unit which is the main issue.
A Mk2 Superb wagon would fit the bill nicely, either in 3.6L VR6/AWD or the 125kw diesel - More space for hauling shit than you could ever wish to carry, and they were European Tow-Car of the year for a few years, pushing BMW/Audi/Mercedes offerings way off the list.
If diesel, throw a few $$ at it and have the DPF removed and mapped out and it should happily go to the moon and back. Mine would comfortably carry 4 plus the boot loaded to the hilt and still return 5L/100km.

That example is a Mk2 Face-lift, there are some higher Km Mk3s out there for similar money, but they're less spacious but a bit more dynamic to drive. Budget on around $1k every 60000km for a trans and Haldex (AWD) service and regular oil & filter services every 30000km.

Calling New school Common rail diesel experts

I'm not too flash with C-Rail, but that might suggest a not so healthy injector on 3, with 2 not a whole lot better.
Hoon some injector clean through it and give it some jandal?
I think Audi/VW forums might be able to shed some light.
