Tell him to send a nude picture of himself holding $300 cash, and then you'll consider holding the car for him.

If you've got two kids and a wife, why the fuck are you trying to buy an Audi TT? Seems vvvv fishy to me.

Well I've put a few miles on this over summer.
Time to sell up.
Interior in great knick. Mechanically awesome - just had it at old man's work shop as i thought it was knocking, turns out it just needed tappets resetting hah. Paint is a bit rough on roof, but most importantly there's no hideous bits of rust.
Comes with a boot load of spares (brakes, shocks, hubs, bumpers, lights, trim etc)
If anyone is interested, hit me up.

I had a drz400sm. Had ohlins rear shock, so wasn't soft at all. Cycleworks pipe, so it sounded mint.
Was the most fun learner bike. Super forgiving, and very reliable. I'd own another in a heart beat. I just didn't ride enough to warrant the cost of owning it.

Blardy excellent

I'd vote crv personally. Had a first gen one for a bit and it was reliable and surprisingly economical.
I then had a k24 powered accord wagon, and I can recommend that power plant in the later model crv's.

The rotor physically looks normal, so no idea how its failed. He has said that the actual fault is intermittent, and the starting issue wasnt the actual fault he had (apparently the starting issue happened only recently). I knew it had a different fault, where the car will begin to misfire after a period of time until you cannot give it any throttle, but im 90% sure i replicated it yesterday and it hasnt happened again today since replacing the rotor. I need to keep testing it and then head down for a WOF check to see what i need to do.
This is exactly the problem I had with the hunter that went away after I replaced rotor too. Been sweet ever since.

So many possibilities for this!!
- Turn it into a chillybin
- put a bbq in it
- put a squab on the top and turn it into a nifty bench seat
- toy box for kidsThe best idea is to put a motor in it and slam it though

There's lots of bunnies on the interweb saying "agh the greater wellington regional council need to pay people more"
Considering their "negotiation" (if you can call it that) is with TransDev and Hyundai Totem, does any aspect of it at all have anything to do with GWRC?

Hahaha thanks for your kind consideration @Seedy Al
I will endeavor to make the next monffly meet.

Thankfully nz is generally leagues behind other countries so I don't think this will concern us for a wee while yet.
Concur with @RUNAMUCK about smugness ov EV owners, our neighbours have a Prius and electric outlander and they're snobby wankers haha.
The thing I don't understand is why people get so excited about speed with electric cars, sure they're fast and all but the people who wank on about teslas and the like are generally "car guys". What about the sound, the manual gearboxes, the thrill of actually driving a car. I just don't see what the excitement would be with clocking big speeds if your car sounds like a fucking microwave.
I think part of the excitement is mashing the "loud" pedal and it being near dead silent but throws you back in the seat without notice. Instantaneous peak torque as soon as your foot hits the floor is a far different experience than hear carbs at peak doort down a back road. Both will have their place, and both are comparable forms of a to b transport, but comparing overall "driving experience" is apples and oranges IMO, though both are cool for their own very separate reasons

electric trains between ports and major centres (after collecting the goods from gas guzzling planes and ships haha) and then electric trucks to distribute goods from ports to recipients. in an ideal world of course.
Does biodiesel produce the same amount of global warming points as the equivalent version of regular diesel in its actual emissions? (not thinking of the emissions caused by its production etc)

we have a few leafs at work, concur they are perfect for that sort of stz, I wonder what their (and alternatives) lifespan is though, like if you bought a 5-10 year old electric car in the future how are they going to behave as older fleet members - are they just appliances that are junk after 5 years
surely all the battery and lectric motor related tech that's been used in hybrids for the last 10(?) years has sort of helped with the lifespan and reliability R&D for the full leccy car?
That's assuming they've just removed the petrol motor, and added a bigger battery and a charging port - i don't actually know.

i cant wait for electric cars to be easier to obtain for the common person.
perfect for trips to work, the supermarket, the bottle shop etc etc.
I'm eyeing up Nissan Leaf's to upgrade the Mrs car when it comes time. they are coming down in price, and they seem to be reliable and awesome according to most people who own them.

Drove one of these once. Went hard for what it was. Steering wheel tiptronic buttons were a bit gimmicky. Pretty fun car though. Think they're very close/similar/same chassis as a Toyota echo/yaris?
