Pulled all the lenses today and properly cleaned all the glue out.. black silicon to put em back in. If you want to pull lenses out run them under hot water while prying... patients

some legend on here sorted me out with an ECU for the 3teu so its chugging about now, not really much of an update ive been cleaning up the interior. When i got it one of the red taillight lenses wasnt in it... thankfully the awesome old lady kept the lense, the right side was on its way to falling out too, must be a carina thing. Whole bunch of mold and moss growing in there so stripped all the lenses down and pulled all the glue off, just need to stick them back together

nah ill just modify what I have as its a fairly low ks strong gearbox, ive got a t50 kicking about and could put a 1s bellhousing also got a carina t50 cross-member but just nah. t50s are saggy and worth too much

DISCUSS Ive only waited like 2 years to buy this thing, better late than never, cheaper now cause the ECU blew up TA63 with a 3TEU which is 8v single cam EFI lol 1982 slushbox spec complete with original rubber mats and aircon had no luck with the ECU couldnt be fucked etc, this is on its way down from Auckland, 3sfe factory RWD, reason I chose it was SUPER easy to replace core engine in case of failure, has all bits to get it going, clutch, flywheel, sweet wasted spark from factory. Should be interesting, beams has been done to death and this looks OEMish comes from one of these motor is here, measuring and lots of hmmmm'ing to be done, on first inspection its looks like everything lines up pretty well the only cunty bit of fab is these gearboxes (whateva the fuck it actually is) mount on the top of them so have to make an omega shaped mount thing. Try pull out the 3t paper weight at some stage and dummy fit this

fuck i look strange in the photo lol typical ben stance. the ECU was a custom built microsquirt module board put in a case with a DB37 it has stock sensors all round with a gm 1bar map sensor off a cholden i made a solid state relay pack to give me 2 high current outputs for VVT and optional idle up (which hasnt been needed so far) microsquirt module runs 2 injector channels and 2 ignition outputs so its running wasted spark with banked injectors
