  1. no light on the dash cant see in the dash weather it has one. 2 wires into the alt plus 12v yep replaced the reg and rect.
  2. the alternator in my lancer packed a sad and stoped charging so i replaced the regulator and recifier. put it all back together and still not charging i had found a broken fuse case behind the r/h headlight fixed that and still nothing. there is a wire by the battery with a spade terminal on it but cant see where that goes and it already has 12v running through it.

    well iv been tossing up about weather to use a solex or get it rebuild, i rang repco for the carb kit and it was $115 plus id need the shaft bush and seal which i cant find anywhere. Ill try get hold of a guy i sorta know at repco on sunday and see what price he can do the kit for, and then give it to all fuel systems and get him to rebuild it. which will include acid dip and zinc plate all the steel parts and put the kit in and shaft etc. will be done over night so at least its not off the road to long. now the other thing is i wana get rid of that ugly standard air cleaner. Iv heard ramflos are shit. what have you guys done to yours?

    Well my carb in my 1600 ex lancer needs rebuilding. its going to cost $350 to rebuild it now im in two minds weather to go that way or weather to get hold of a set of webbers or something. what could you awsome guys think i should do

Was able to do some work on it this weekend after all the hours at work iv been doing. 60 hours a week Well got my mate at autolign to sort out some custom rear shocks at got some 14x7 modgies with 195/45/14 on Also pulled the air cleaner off and degreased the carb and adjusted the rich idle as it was running a bit rich and put a gt40t coil on now it drives like a dream also got new idler arm bushes and is in need of a decent wheel alignment

  12. i like the hotwire look on the car being deepdish in the rear and all. iv being looking through tardme and havent really found anything that i liked want to keep it looking old school.Iv got OZ racing wheels on it at the moment so i can drive it but there to new school for the car sorta thing. I would even like go try some ROH Blak Trak but there only 6 stud.

  14. hey guys im tired of trying to find 14x7 hotwire in 4x114.3 so im thinking of changing the stud pattern to 5x114.3 in my ex lancer. what will work and what do i need to buy thanks guys

  18. well yesterday couldn't do much on the car because of work and the damn rain!!! but today i managed to put my new Monroe shocks in the rear Standard Lancer VS Standard Mirage shock After all been installed and back on the ground with the standard wheels on Now with the lovely hotties on Now I've got to go back to the front and lower the front more and now thinking of making my own coilovers and certing it as its below 100mm now so have to sort something out and call ol mark out to check it out

  20. hey guys I know what your all thinking is why??!!! As you know I have a 1600 Ex Lancer and have a 1300 sitting in my garage that i want to stick in it for the mean time while i rebuild my 1600. I know when you transplant a 1600 into a 1200 etc you need the 1600 cross member. now to fit the 1300 in will I be able to do it with 1600 cross member in and also using the 5 speed?
  21. heres the pics of what i done over the weekend Standard suspension with the hotties on And with the superlow E30 springs and hotties The rear is still standard as im waiting for my shocks to arrive this week. Doesnt look like its lowered it very much because there only 13X7 with 215/50 eagers.with my oz 16"s on the guard was laying over the tyre by 5mm. And measurement between cross member and road 108mm as you can see the front wheels are sticking out a little bit about 20mm what is a way i can pull them in a bit?

  24. well I haven't been able to do much work on it till today and have achieved a job well done. Brought some E30 Superlow kings and chucked them in minus 1.5 coils and still captive so i threw on the hotties and looks mean!!!only 1 little hick up............... the 13x7s on the front are a little bit wide and need to pump the guards out about 10mm. its still running a bit of positive camber so will be making up a pair of camber plates to pull it negative. will get some pics up soon
