crap, i thought some starions had them ^^^ and some had the others. thats extra gay cos this one has been on trademe since i brought that other one. 150 seemed a tad pricey at the time tho. the other one was only 50 so i just got it thinking who needs an oil cooler anyway! haha. but is this one likely to mount the same as the one i've got already? it should fit right?and that one i've got now must just be some bung thing off like an l200 or something 4g53?

there are no provisions for an oil cooler on the rwd housing i got which tells me its probably off something else. did think of drilling holes out but they are a bit more than 1-2mm out, more like 3-4mm would get a bit dodgy i think do the evo oil filters not have the cooling ring thing on them?

right, for my 4g63t engine im currently tickling up for rwd i brought this rwd oil filter housing which was supposed to fit the engine to make oil changes a breeze BUT i doesn't fit, the bolt holes are ever so slightly different.... the lower one is the rwd one, its apparently from a starion? (brought from trademe) the first question is, does anyone know if this is actually a starion one? and if it is, does it not work on the rvr model of 4g63t? as i've been told they do fit on failing this i thought i could use the original one still if i pull this dough nut thing off as it will probably allow the filter to squeze on/off past the engine mount. I will just have to cut this bit of threaded pipe down and find a nut to lock it to the housing as seen here; Second question, do i need the doughnut thingo? or will it be fine with out it? it seems to be some kind of oil cooling thing. the pipes off it had coolant going through them. and thirdly, will the two allen key plug things seen on the last picture be able to be removed and an external oil cooler used? cheers in advance for the wisdom!

hey man what sorta clutch are you using? I've got a 7 bolt evo flywheel i'm gunna use when i put my turbo engine in and i'm not sure what to get for it, will some sort of evo one work or does it need to be l300 or some such shit

primered! and a sick as paper bodykit hopefully get the doors off and finish prepping the shuts this week and they'll get primed and or painted this weekend. then it'll be doors back on sand more prime then BLACKNESS

if the brushes are running low and starting to open circuit then the charge light etc wont even come on most of the time, the brushes complete the circuit that brings the charge light on (usually anyway) unless its externally regulated?, it will stop charging tho and you'll hear stuff like the fuel pump change pitch and headlights dim etc.. sounding like more of a bad earth to me

I don't know about your car in particular but some cars have a few dash lights that come on when there's a charging fault. Not usually all of them tho. Is it the handbrake light too? They all on full brightness or a bit dull?

started the car up the other day after having been sitting for months and it burst into life after about 3 turns, stoaked! must have done something right! oh and paint getting put on tomorrow!!! so tonight and yesterday just had a scrub up on the bare metal that's been showing for the last few months and gave it a good blow down.

so i just brought one of these. thought it would make a good loooooooooonnnnnnnnng term project to slowly chip away at. Brought it as a rolling body with some sweet rims. The previous owner had completely pulled it apart so its been a wee bit of a puzzle to try see whats there/missing/broken/molested beyond repair. here are photos! i dont know to much about these toyotas but i suspect it would have had the big gay plastic bumpers cos this sticks out like fuck with these brackets its had a pretty hard life by the looks of it gunna be in need of a few parts in the near future if anyone knows of any/has any need; valance right hand headlight metal braket n plastic surround small bumper brackets? brackets for rear bumper four bumper caps front left window right hand tail light also will a 4k engine bolt in place of a 3A-U? or do i need a k series crossmember?

rust gone! finally ready to be painted. so before too long it'll be late nights in the garage putting it back together. but i just know i'm gunna struggle since it was almost a year and a half ago i pulled it all apart.

haha it was in the rakia river! a mate of mine found and fished it out. i haven't actually seen it yet but its pretty fucked up apparently caved in roof rust etc full of silt but the good bits should all be sweet hopefully. i just hope he doesn't want too much for it ae
