  1. New parts. I got an AJPS lock spacer, not a massive improvement but noticeable none the less. (added a 1/4 turn each way) Couldn't take a photo of what the lock was like before because i didn't have a camera, but this is how it looks now. Also new engine and box setup Gen 1 16v big port 4a-ge and t50. Has an ae86 rwd 4age intake manifold and 4a-ge to k series engine mounts, still converting the water lines to suit the rwd configuration. Nardi steering wheel and HKB boss kit. (i bought a nardi horn button but it doesn't fit) I picked up these cusco camber plates for cheap. They are from an evo 7, i might modify them to fit or just buy some new ones that fit my car. yea my garage is a mess. disscuss viewtopic.php?f=18&t=25224 Callum

  3. WOF time Not much of an update but ive got some big plans in the near future, including an engine conversion. A photo that my mate took a while ago. Callum
  4. rumor has it in a couple of months you cant cert coilovers. is this true? anyone know anything about this?
  5. thanks man. Na just a ke70 wagon.
  6. So I put the 4.3 ratio diff head in, which made a huge difference seeing as the old diff head was a 3.4. (didn't even know they did a 3.4) It was an x code diff which has the smaller 5.6" crown wheel and skinnier axles as apposed to the 6" u code diff and it turns out the u code rear ends also have bigger drums. So i just swapped them over with my other car. I also pulled out my dash so that i could remove the air conditioning unit to give me room to cut the back of my glove box out to fit a head unit in. Ended up being a bit of a mission really. and pretty much replaced this with this Then put the dash back in and cut a hole in the back of the glove box for the back of the head unit to poke through. now looks like this. garage life. discussion //oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=25224 Callum
  7. what are the tire specs in that pic?
  8. different car. nothing wrong with old motor, just put in my worked one.
  9. Its got a different glove box to others that ive seen, i thinks its because it used to have air con it defiantly doesn't fit. It had a standard 4k in it when i got it but i put in my worked one. fast road cam, lightened flywheel, 32/36 weber, electric dizzy, extractors into 2" pipe, exedy clutch and 5 speed box.
  10. Finished swapping the engine over. Got it with a standard 4k, now has the following upgrades. specs: kelford fast road cam lightened flywheel 32/36 weber electric dizzy extractors into 2" pipe exedy clutch and 5 speed box. Goes heaps better, still have to swap the diff head over though. Ive got a locked 4.3 ratio to put in, i think the one in it at the moment is a 3.9 ratio, so it should help acceleration a little. Bolted in the Recaros. Swapped my wheels over aswell, looks better IMO. Tires are a little bit lower profile too...Looks a bit high in the front in this picture, will wind the coilovers down a bit asap. Its got a factory head unit that only gets AM which sucks. Ive got a head unit to put in but don't know where to mount it as It doesn't fit in the glove box. I don't want it to be visible as it will look like shit and i want to keep it original looking as possible inside. discussion thread viewtopic.php?f=18&t=25224 Callum
  11. Hey, let me know what you think. any ideas where to mount my head unit? Callum
  12. Installed the suspension today.... t3 sleeve and spring kit strut tubes shortened 2" 6" sleeves 350 lb springs 75mm tein keepers Lowering springs that have been compressed 40mm. Unknown brand. (were red but weren't cobras or pedders) Im using ke70 wagon rear shocks to hold it captive, but am going to upgrade them soon. Cut down bump stops, has about 30mm travel left. A strut brace i modified to fit. It didn't fit on with the factory air box so currently running no filter. Im planing to put my other engine in this weekend anyway. How it sits at the moment. 13x6 and 13x6.5 work equip 01s. Can wind the coilovers down heaps more. Will cut the rear springs a little and wind the coilovers down one day soon. Need lower profile tyres asap! Callum
  13. So i bought another one, Its a 1982 kp61 se. Im going to pull all the good parts off my kp60 and put them onto this, then sell the kp60. Callum
  14. Parts arrived I put the new cluster in but the tacho isn't going, must be something wrong with the tacho or the wiring. Sleeves from t3 arrived today along with a spin turn knob. 180mm long 350 lb springs (springs will probably be too firm) with 150mm long sleeves. before: after: Just need to get them welded up and find some keepers. Callum

  16. not much of an update... the commands arrived about 2 months ago, they are a bit rough. Ive got a 5mm spacer behind them which makes them sit flush.(hard to tell because its so high) welded up the flare holes on the front, haven't really tidied them up properly yet. and bought some trim to go along the side as i pulled it off ages ago and lost half of it. the back sits a good couple of center meters lower in the other side... next thing to do is to make up some coilovers. Im probably going to use the t3 weld on coilover kit. also need to get rid of the monster profile tires. has anyone had experience with these? any problems with them? discussion thread: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=23484 callum
  17. wheels! they need a bit of a clean up once they arrive.
  18. So i kind of lowered it..... In the rear i got my springs (aftermarket lowering springs) compressed 40mm and cut the bump stops down 20mm, they were made to be cut down haha. That leaves me with 30mm travel. To hold them captive i used some ke70 wagon rear shocks. In the front i was going to compress my springs, but i manned up and put my coil overs back in. Will one day get adjustable platforms welded onto them as it sits way to high. The coil overs were apparently made up by chamberlains (i got them of trade me a while back)so I don't know the spring rate, but they are extremely firm for a street car this light. I had them in for a warrant about a year ago and the warrant guy failed me on them being to firm, and for having no cert. To high in the front still, but It handles a lot better these days, almost no body roll. I also put some tires onto my 13x8 widened steelies, some 175s. they were a bit of a cunt to get on but got there in the end. The tread sits inside the guards nicely now. Might have some more wheels coming soon. Callum
  19. whats the track like? looks a bit ruff in places. im keen to make a trip over there one day. i only found out about this late last night so was a bit late notice for me. loving the pictures, did anyone make a video?
