Would be interesting to know if Edward from Auckland has actually seen the car, I have had a quick look and imho it was only average condition and missing some trim bits, it sold at Auction so it must be close to the market price, i thought early 20's would be a good result. Maybe the idea it was a "museum car" got them a little excited, on this occasion I think I would have rather had the Lancia rally car

But is that really 60k? Its along way from ressembling an original coupe
From what I have observed it is the cars that are closer to original that command the $$ or at least have tasteful mods, or am I just out of touch....

Could be the Veglia (vague liar) speedo, had that issue on one of mine and a little silicone spray into the back of the speedo did the trick

Replace the plastic hose with the proper rubber fuel hose as the pvc will go hard and either crack with the good vibrations or most likely be a bitch to remove next time, I would make sure you run a filter in that line, this will save you cleaning the carb on the side of the road in the pissing rain... I found this out the hard way!

Another one @kiwi808 it is an old dealers book, it has lots of canopy/deck options for B1500/B1600

Not really rotary related but certainly Mazda related, was unsure where to post, I think @kiwi808 may be interested, no mention of RX3's as rental cars....

Vespa is the tits.
Rode it home tonight. Goes well. Must sit around 90kms. But nippy though.
Whats it running? Surely its on 10 inch wheels and has been repowered with a px motor doing that speed although they don't refer to the veglia speedos as vagueliars for nothing, I have a '63 GS that has a SS180 engine and when its running (it is italian) I would need a good downhill and tailwind to get to 90, then of course you have to consider stopping which can be interesting at times especially if you have a leaking rear seal - straight onto you brake shoes, even more fun when its wet as well...

I finished a cert on a 12a in one yesterday, I quite liked it.
It's how mazda should have made them. It was fun to drive
So how extensive is the work required to fit one? Lots of engineering required or was it fairly straight forward? Asking for a friend who has never looked under the bonnet of one but has a spare 12A...

There is also the Twin Rivers car show on the 25th at the A&P showgrounds as well

Does anyone have a rough price guide on 10A engines, I know a guy who has a couple and may sell one, he may sell it as a short block or other option is with twin dizzy/carb/waterpump/flywheel etc the motor has sat for 10-20 years but is complete - does anyone bother with 10A anymore or do people want them for true restorations?

I would have thought that was being optimistic for an average condition 808 sedan with a mixture of RX3 parts, would be interesting to see what an original RX3 sedan would go for in a similar state or even what a very tidy sedan would bring, its still the coupes that everyone wants

There is one of these in the UK that has been attached to a lambretta as a sidecar, I had a magazine somewhere with an article on it, looked pretty well done.

What was the show in goon? Surely not muscle car madness, thought you would be escorted out if you turned up in a jap car?

Spotted these old rotors, nice line up and all fairly original

Apparently the sale fell through so this so it's back on the market again...
sorry for the burning of your retina's, hope you have your shades on ...
so much auzzie spec ... gross.
The mark up annoys me as well. Such a shitty thing to try and justify.

Wow, $1350 for a rusty wagon with no tags - why?

Place your bets on how much this will go for, pretty rough and not a lot of parts with it.
Had to laugh when it said "airbags intact"

I believe that this could be one of the first Mazda's brought into NZ by Champion motors in Christchurch(who was part of Amuri motors?), do you have the original paperwork/ownership papers for it? I believe one of the senior staff owned the car.

Yep had seen that and was thinking that was a good one to compare to, no idea if that price is cheap or expensive
