using starion motor and gbox. starion brakes, lower arms and am cutting the starion struts down and welding sleeves over top to make adjusties its still 4 stud. have not come across many 5 stud starion hubs also using sigma turbo rear diff setup.

rwd sigma rads bolt straight in. also is a good upgrade if yours is a 1200 ex may need to buy new hoses tho no biggie

am putting a starion motor in my ex lancer and am looking at making it multi point injection and run a aftermarket ecu what i really want to know is, is there any manifolds that will bolt straight on to my starion head that i dont need to cut and shut? if not will a intake manifold from a 4g63 rvr fit? (can get one with injectors and sensors for $75 shipped )

moved last weekend, now i have a bigger garage managed to chuck some crap out. pulled the windscreen out last night and found a common disease most ex's seem to get abit off old bog

prity sure if you cert it for 100mm you can raise or lower it by 5% of the cert-ed height maybe put bigger rims on to bring it over the 95mm mark one tidy ex. (im very jealous )

loving the dash. were did you get it done? what sort off price did it cost, hate the cracking ex dashs lol

decided to pull the guards off and surprised not to see rust as i am putting in a starion motor and box i have to cut, weld/mount a hydraulic clutch set up so started with taking the dash out, then carpet, after that heater core etc still more to pull out (hope i remember where everything goes)

have got a starion motor to put in got 1600 x member and starion lower arms sigma tie rods have had starion suspension in the ex already so have had to mix and match things to sort that out it looks like the sigma swaybar will bolt up threw were the track rods go to. but will have to take the track rod mounts off 1st then slide them over swaybar. could be wrong tho. all part off the fun

since we have to move in a few months i got some motivation to tidy/throw away stuff/crap in the garage. looking at 5 gearboxes on one side wall i figured it was time to do the ex lancer 5speed/starion 5speed shifter conversion anyone want to buy a 4 or 5speed ex lancer gearbox? or a subie one one on the left is ex 5spd, on the right is starion 5speed. notice the difference in the shifter lengths by doing this you don't need to cut the gearbox tunnel (i no most off you already know this)

had some quality time lately with the engine bay. also got this sigma swaybar. much thinker than the standard one

yea to many curves in the engine bay. half my fingers are sanded aswell lol

done abit of sanding F#(k it takes forever going to plate the guard side of the rust hole

in the garage again this evening pulled gearbox and drive shaft out, brake master cylinder and brake lines out, speedo cable out wiper motor out not much left in engine bay time to start sanding. bought a air sander as well, should speed up the process when it arrives few photos cause i no you all love them gearbox and speedo cable. if you look close enough there is a old air compressor i picked up off a mate for $50 (dont know if its any good yet. got to get some fittings) engine bay fully d loomed and everything else out also made a discussion page viewtopic.php?f=18&t=30888

went to work this afternoon and grabbed the engine hoist. done the last minute shop at new world, bloody xmas rush. got the motor out and pulled the rest off the loom out loom still in in foto engine out loom, speedo and clutch cable out not the best foto but this is the worst off the rust in the engine bay, rest is just surface rust also bought these starion suspension and brakes. cut spring supports off and going to shorten housing and weld on adjustable sleeves and use springs in foto enough for 1day. xmas tomorrow so no time for working on cars just drinking

took me about 5 edits before i figured out how to use photo bucket pics on here a few pics with the front off started de looming engine bay, lights and bumper off battery box out. plan to relocate it to the boot hopfully will go to work later and pull engine out tonight.

got my ex lancer about 2 years ago. had another one in the past have already converted it from 1200 to 1600, 4 to 5speed etc how its been parked up for over 6 months i thought i will pull the motor out and get a mate whos a panel beta to cut the rust out and repaint the engine bay maybe some time in the future get the rest of the car panel and painted

when i done my 1600 conversion i 1st used a sigma engine x member but when trying to turn it would catch, so got hold off a 1600 ex x member and its sweet az. trial and error
