  1. Hey guys I need a little help modifying a set of extractors to clear starter motor. The pipes on the right hand side need to be moved a little to the left and the two end pipes need to be on a bit more of a slight angle. Anyone up for it? Ill obviously pay for your help. Will need to bring a welder and shit, I'm in pakuranga.
  2. So this arrived So I went and put it on And I have issues, fouls on starter motor and alternator and just touches bottom of carbs when on. Not ideal. I can easily get spaces to push the carbs forward a half inch or so and the will be mint and alternator thing that you adjust it on just has to be lengthened but I need help moving exhaust away from starter motor. I have a feeling a smaller starter motor will be a nightmare to find so does anyone have a welder near pakuranga that could bring it over and move some exhaust a little. Ill pay you pretty well, I just want to drive this fucken thing soon.
  3. How it sits currently is you just push it on and it fits in there snuggly, then theres a bit of rubber handing from the bottom and a hole in the middle of the cap. Its definitely not air tight with that hole there. Ill take a photo tonight.
  4. Where can you get classic looking master cylinder caps? I don't want no plastic crap on it.
  5. I would just top it up, carry 10 bottles of water and just go for it. How bad is it pissing out? Only do this if its not dropping the water quickly. Got any JB Weld in the car?
  6. It's doesn't squirt but the top of the cap gets wet and fluid does need to be topped up. Car isn't on the road so it's just garage testing. Ill swap the brake master cap with clutch and see if it makes a difference because they are identical but brake cap is in better nick. This will probably sound a bit rough but if I chucked some glad wrap under the cap and poked a couple of holes in the outside edges so it could still breathe be all good?
  7. It's just a brass looking cap with a breather hole in the top. There is some rubber buffer thing under it but they look pretty haggard but have always been this shitty. I have no idea if is suppose to it not.
  8. Pretty hard to replace will probably have to send it away to be rekitted. It's for the prince b200. Fluid is nice and clean and it's been bleed as well as it can be bled. Can see from master to slave and all hard and soft lines look good Could it be something to do with the clutch I installed? Don't think it ever used to do this but last time clutch pedal was used was over a year ago
  9. I have to top up clutch fluid as it keeps firing it out of the top of the reservoir. With the cap off it can get some distance. Does it need an overhaul or is sucking air in somewhere? I have bleed it heaps, clutch feels all good.
  10. This still going to go ahead? I have nothing to contribute except I want to come
  11. cheers mate. im hoping they actually work as intended when I get the linkages all sorted. Will try sort that out this weekend I think we a good pick a part mission. will look extra sweet with ram tubes on the end. im the same man always take forever to do things but like they say, good things take time. Any chance you know who purchased that stuffed Gloria that appeared on trademe earlier on in the year? Was really rusty and went for $300. I want to track the owner down and buy some chrome off them, I still cant find those corner bits. May have to bend over and get someone to make them. the guy who got its trademe name is thehuia but I don't know how to contact him, has no listings.
  12. Got myself a fuel block and fittings and hooked it all up, set the carbs up and she works! Need to order a set of manifold gaskets, sort linkages and remove those taped on bottle caps and make a balance pipe. Also need to put that fuel block somewhere better but will wait till I move battery and see how it goes. Still need to sort shift linkages as you have to overshoot neutral and then return it before you can shift into second/third. I also ordered some coby extractors which will hopefully be here early next week and in my excitement have ordered 3x 3" ram tubes which I found for only $110 landed brand new. Here's a shitty pic. Another upside down one according to my phone
  13. Its all back together now, the girlfriend and I managed to put it in easy as, didnt take long at all. all brakes and clutch bleed. radiator filled and a fresh battery thrown in. Took a bit to get started but now she starts up mint first time everytime, just cold start idle seems to be a little iffy. Also had to put that gay pod filter on because misplaced the other filter and it runs a bit shitter with no filter. Other than that havent taken it for a drive yet but been up and down the drive a bit. Had trouble getting into second gear but that seems to be a linkage needing a little adjustment because if you pull a bit further back than where you want to go and then let it recenter you can select it but going straight from first to second its a bit of a maybe if its going to line up. Anyway tidied up all the sills which only had a bit of light surface face with is pretty sweet now I just have to weld a few patches of rust then take it for a wof. Heres some pick. Lovely air filter setup Put the carbs in to see how they fit. Looks like need to redesign heater box and put battery somewhere else.
  14. Sweet as. By the way my ignition key is that hexagon key top right, those longer uncut keys will still work.
  15. I should done that first but cause I was feeling lazy I thought it could be drilled out and use an easy out while it was still attached to engine. Mig is at my place not where the car is so would have had to pull it apart. Anyway, It's at an engineers now, they going to mill it out and helicoil it and also give the face a clean up since it been sitting for a year or so and has a bit of surface rusty shit on it. Said an hour work max so here's hoping its half that. Expensive fuck up
  16. Na it's about 5mm deep. I have already drilled it and messed with it so its coming off to go engineer so they can do their thing.
  17. Yea so far easy outs haven't done shit. I didnt over torque it was suppose to be 15lbs but it snapped not long after it was snug. I have got all new bolts to replace them all just got to get this out.
  18. Is there anywhere near pakuranga? Or should I just ringing around tomorrow morning?
  19. Well it didnt look that hard so thought could be myself.
  20. Drilled it and tried a easy out. Then a hammer and a screw driver. Then bigger easy outs.
  21. Balls. I tried all day to get it out, one more attempt tomorrow otherwise ill rip flywheel out and go engineers
