  8. Just wondering if anyone knows someone that could sort this for me , I've got a 1ggte from a gz20 soarer in my gx61 , Trying to sort the accelerator cable out, the bracket thing on the standard gx61 looks like this the gz20 soarer on is like this another photo I know autostop used to make cables just wondering if any one on here has a hook up? or has any ideas for swapping them over. cheers
  9. Cheers man. Yea looks like ill trim it . Stink thing is it looks like ill have to pull the motor out again to do it. Was thinking about pulling the bottom half of the shield off but might as well keep as much of it there as possible.
  10. So I picked up a 1ggte from a gz20 auto box and only done 90,000, been pretty busy today getting the 1ggte in , pulled auto box off put flywheel, clutch etc on , swapped from mid to front sump. So happy to have it in. But I have a problem !! turbo heat shield is hitting the steering box !! So crap annoying , anyone got past this problem before ? wondering if losing the heat shield will help? or will I have to change steering box? and after that ill have to sort the wiring . calling on anyone who has done a 1geu to 1ggte before any help with wiring would be awesome ! viewtopic.php?f=18&t=29815 If any one is after any 1geu stuff or a mid sump and oil pick up or a 1ggte auto box let me know .
  11. So here's a video of the damage haha, tried to kill it off good and proper haha Which resulted in this Sadly it wont be the 1jzgte going in at this stage , but a 1ggte is on the cards sorting one to hopefully pick up this sunday , good upgrade for my money, and hey it's got to be better than a 1geu, Anyone done a 1ggte into a gx61 before ? any advise? Its a gen3 1ggte I know there is some wires car side of the loom that will need splicing , not sure which ones though , Will try get the accelerator cable from the donor car too , otherwise will have to get one made as standard one will be to short , any other things I should look out for? Let me know if you know who on oldschool I should talk to about doing this conversion viewtopic.php?f=18&t=29815

  15. Can be done, I picked up my ssr mk 3's for pretty much the same price I sold my konig b-bombs. Maybe I was lucky to get them for that cheap. The hardest thing was the wait from Japan

  17. I used cobra MA61 supra springs front and rear cant remember if they were super low or just low but the were the lowest ones they made for Ma61 and ae92 front inserts with a little spacer under the insert to keep it all captive , used a holden commodore wagon strut for the rear too , all worked out pretty well rode really well too could have been a little lower in the front though
  18. just a picture with the SSR's on finally , hmmm think it might need more slam, still need to figure out what to do coilover setup upfont , can lower the back a bit more easily enough . car looks better in person haha need some better pics

New nuts and bolts for the face of the rims on there way ,then polish the lips up and paint the face and on they go.
