  1. certification...... nah mate dont need one of those. no one will pick it up on wof that its had an engine swap. my van doesnt have a vin plate or anything riveted internally so meh. as bronze said im not exactly going to kill anyone with it. all ive done is taken a front end out of a certed 202 bedford and put it in mine so i dont thinkits necessary. im not terribly worried about lowering the van i like my van as is with the standard steels with whitewalls. the van just needed a repower. if i want a super low car ill get another car and make it super low
  2. Chassis is straight has no notch, diffs on the bottom of leaf springs and if u did swap it around your be on bump stops. I think the front is a prick to lower aswell I believe.
  3. That looks great but I can't lower Bedford so it just will never look that great.
  4. Nah no tridents for my van lads, If anything d windows haha!
  5. Haha get away from my steels! I love my steels bey. Every man and his dog has tridents on his Bedford not really into it
  6. Lol I never bought them to begin with haha I just borrowed them to roll front end to my house. But I could probly get them cheap if ur keen but Bedford stud pattern so won't fit ur wags
  7. Nah tridents are dum! Best thing for them is rubbish bin haha. Oh yeh estate pm me about some numbers
  8. Flipped around sump and oil pick up so the motor can sit lower over the cross member. Started welding up the rust hopefully have it all done by the weekend. Also bought electronic dizzy, driveshaft end of gearbox and speedo cable for box from aging auto spares. So fuck I think I have everything now!
  9. That's alright bro, yeh pictures in reverse gaha
  10. Todays fun was pulling front cross member of the parts Bedford which was a prick of a job because engine crane doesn't roll on gravel.
  11. Got stuck in to fixing up the centre console today re gluing it back together Then started hacking into the minimal rust around the drivers seat. Also started mocking up where Im goin to cut to lengthen the tunnel for the 202
  12. Thanks yoeddy yeh she's a pretty solid Bedford my grandparents had it garaged the whole time they owned it and my grandad coated inside all the doors and gutters with a cake of fish oil so ain't alot of rust around. Yeh I'm lucky that KK is such a sweetheart and gave me the five speed so it shouldn't scream out like a four speed would Oh yeh let vivagt know for sure not sure what ill sell for yet tho. And finding a rust free bonnet is near to impossible I found one at kumeu swap meet a few years back but had to sell my leg for it haha Haha nah no rent outs the bronze unless we do some kind of swap of cars for your salt flatter! Shut up rotahoe haha I sapose I should add some photos of the tow ball and a story for it on the build thread
  13. Rust all buffed back rust neutralised and painted with a touch of zinc paint.
  14. Oh yeh ill most likely sell my vauxhall slant four motor and I have two four speed manual trans for it. Unaware of what price I should let it go for tho would like to make a bit back on what I've spent on the 202 conversion. Let me know if ur interested or what u think I should sell for
  15. Me KK sold me his 202 and trans for a gentlemens price of one bottle of fine whiskey, gave it a degrease and water blast Touch of paint Made new copper fuel line Currently fixing up slight rust in the cab and extend the engine bay ready for 202 install
  16. 1979 CF Bedford short wheel base 2.3 slant four motor four speed trans, soon to be holden 202 red 5 speed box my story is my Grandfather bought the van in 1984 off the postal service after 5 years in service for i believe 5 grand. he and my grandmother use to have a second-hand quality made tool business and sell there product at the avondale markets (back when markets werent rubbish plastic toys). they only would run the van once a week from papatoetoe to avondale for roughly 10 years apart from the occasional summer road trip with us grand kids to summer fishing spots up north, so it never really got alot of use. after they both retired it sat unused for around 12 years in there garage apart from my grandad taking it for a Wof every 6 months. I posted interest in the van for many years but got declined everytime until my 21st birthday rolled around and my grandparents had the ownership papers in my birthday card! since ive had it ive pulled all the heavy ass CNG gas units out that the postal service added into it and just basically kept the motor maintained, its run sweet the whole time but im currently putting a holden 202 red block with VK 5 speed trans into it. photos and progress soon to come
