  6. Sort of have to do a track day now But first, Been getting fluids oils filters coolant thermostat for full service and when I do the intercooler upgrade I'll do a inlet carbon clean. Then can book in for a tune
  7. Brought a set of gti rims with near new ar1 semi slicks for cheap. Looks like guy rolled his gti at a track day:/ https://www.trademe.co.nz/3439836449 Should help with fwd traction after tune. Thinking will paint the spare set of rims a darker silver/grey see how they look against the graphite blue colour of the car
  8. I know fuck all about golf's in general. Just know the mk5 is not bad hot hatch at price point atm. Have a mate that's a vw/audi foamer thou.
  9. Tempted by these light weight wheels but it will need more low to look rite and new tyres so will go over my budget. And will lose a bit of ride quality I get from 45 profile tyres hmmmm. https://www.trademe.co.nz/3431128130
  10. Took in for wof today Clean sheet pass. Dash is telling me it due for service in 7 days Will order engine and dsg oil and filters and get onto it.
  11. It's included in price of tune so can live with it till then
  12. After driving it enthusiastically its back. Scanned it cat fault, delete fault Couple hoons shes back. Euro life Only way to get rid of this code forever is for tuner to send it too blackhole!
  13. Yeah I've been told can tune dsg to put more pressure on the clutch packs aswell to handle extra torque from engine tune
  14. Alot of mk5 interiors seem to suffer from saggy roof lining and door cards. This one has none of those issues Conditioned the leather seats and gave interior bit of a clean, actually not a bad place to be. Heaps of adjustment in steering wheel and seat to get good driving position aswell Added some alloy paddle shifts because $40 Ferrari mod
  15. Ko4 equipped perelli gtis seam to make good power but they were 6k+ out of my budget
  16. Has a nice burble on upshifts and doses through filter when you lift off the gas which I'm happy with just want a stock looking car that surprises a few people Tuner I spoke to said stock rear section of exhaust is fine for what I want. Maybe later I'll do k04 conversion
  17. First day off work so decided to do de cat Had to 2 cats first one straight of the turbo with restrictive bend. All sorted now Engine light came on after install, cleared it and hasn't came back Still using both factory rear mufflers so it's not loud just bit deeper note seem to boost bit harder now too.
  18. Then go pick up s3 intercooler from my mates. He reckon good bolt in upgrade, stock gti intercooler is thinner and plastic. S3 intercooler is thicker and alloy
  19. I ordered some hot up parts so when I got it back to aucks could get straight into it Next thing is to install cat delete down pipe
