  2. Kirk I have put some interior shots up finally. And yeah it rides fairly similar to before I lowered it. Just bottoms out every now and again if its a massive bump.

  4. Got side pipes made up by the wonderful Simon at Surfab. Sounds radical. Heres a video:
  5. Tried some wheels, now I need to find some to buy!
  6. True, I was just turning the car on and off and it seems to check the height and correct itself. I will get some interior pics ASAP.
  7. Nah fronts are cut and just tricked the rears into going to the lowest setting on the auto height control.
  8. Decided to drag this thing out of hibernation and get it looking like a real car.
  9. I can get pics of the interior. Not really sure what its worth. Are you keen to buy?
  10. Put one of the Chinese Android headunits in and its pretty sweet, does a few annoying things with the iPod but sounds OK and has some cool features. Replaced all the rooted door speakers with SoundStream 4inch components and everything sounds much better. Still a lack of bass at the moment, really needs a sub. As far as ownership goes its sitting in a mates garage not really doing a hell of a lot. Have someone lined up to start tidying the panels on it. Also have a replacement window reg that just arrived from Japan that needs to go in. Its at that point where I am undecided if i should start pouring money into it doing mods, ie airbags, or if I should sell it or what.
  11. Cheers Karl and fellow organisers for the sweet weekend. Thanks Alex for the Viva mission. Long overdue for a pin in that thing. So amazing. And finally thanks Bairdy for being a kind and caring room mate for the weekend. Pics and vids to come. Are we just slamming them in here?
  12. Im leaving any minute to go get Beachlander from the airport. Then Chris then Bairdy then Hanmer!
  13. So at Nats this year I crashed it. And it looked like this, it was my fault, needed to cross 2 lanes of traffic to get into a petrol station making a right hand turn, lane closest to me the traffic was slow and someone let me pass, stuck my nose out to see if anyone was coming and boom, yes they were. Its amazing how little damage the Mark II wore compared to the other car, these things must be built pretty well. Bonnet was already rusty and bogged from previous owner, needed replacing anyway and so needed to get a new bonnet, bumper mounts, 2 headlights and a corner light. The rest was panel magic. Managed to find an old bonnet and got it rust repaired by mate, found a bumper with mounts and some trims. The lights and corner light I got in from Yahoo Japan. Car has been in the garage with the front pulled off since nats and finally went in to panelbeaters last week. The amazing Englishman (Bubblegoose) and his crew did the work and now it looks like this:
  14. Its actually not forecast to get that cold, might hit 0 but not much lower. Get the alcohol blankets on.
  15. Weather is looking like its going to be ideal. No rain just cold as fuck at night.
  16. Yeah my Mark II has the whole light fibre thing going on for the fender lights on the guards. Just steals light from the back of the park light housing. This is a bit different as it is using it for a data feed. I have no idea why as there are still copper wires fucking everywhere!
  17. Yeah it is pretty strange. Only reason I can think of is that its immune to electrical interference but then I dont see that being a big enough reason. It was probably just experimenting with new tech. Given that it is the Flagship model perhaps that is what they did. I know that Toyota developed a Gas Turbine version of the Century as a prototype.
  18. The boot wont be very big once a tank and compressor ends up in there. It appears to be a link between each door and what I guess is a central control unit. There is a control unit in each door that has wires going to the motors in the door and the fibre runs into that unit. I did some reading and it looks like the Century was one of the only cars ever to use Fibre.
  19. I need to start taking more pictures of things. Yesterday and today consisted of replacing the old aftermarket headunit with a new one and replacing all the speakers. Managed to get 2 pairs of Soundstream 4 inch components to replace the components in each door. Removing door cards and replacing speakers ended up being the most insane mission. The amount of electronics in these cars is unreal. Came across the Fibre Optic system that runs throughout the car while digging under the door cards. Crazy right?! Removed the factory amp and with the help of a mate managed to trace the speaker wires to each door. The headunit I installed was an Android based one from China. Actually pretty awesome. Does everything that a tablet can do but has the addition of Radio/DVD/iPod input etc. Works well for a car like this with a double DIN slot. Need to find some speakers to fit in the rear parcel tray, and probably a 10inch sub to put in the boot, then an amp to power them to finish the ICE.
  20. Yeah im taking the Century. 2 seats if you want mega luxury or 3-4 if you want to be a peasant.
  21. Lol at the people camping. You fuckers are going to be colder than Edmund Hillarys foot.
