Weirdly I had to replace that same diaphragm twice on the Galaxie

For those following along at home; fuel pump makes all the right noises, but the spinny bit don't spin, it whirs. So that seems to be the solve. Yay logical diagnosis.

I'll run through the pump when running test and hose check when I put the new filter in - it definitely primes, haven't had enough time to do the full crank and test pump pressure situation yet. Will add it to my diagnosis list.
Safety Electric (Stand/Neutral/KillSwitch) all seem to be fine.
"With the intank pumps it is a common issue that the fuel hose from the pump to the tank outlet will split. So the pump just pumps back into the tank."
I'm hoping its in this space. I had tio redo the O-ring on the fuel sender recently, maybe something shook loose...

Kia ora te whānau,
I'm walking me way through an issue with my bike. Injected 400ie Ducati. It cranks and cranks until I hit the killswitch but doesn't fire and won't bumpstart. I pulled the plugs. It has no gasoline in the bangbang bits. The fuel pump primes. The hoses seem to flow, although the "to engine" one was dribbly slow, but I suspected this was because it has a filter in the line, and without the pump running it doesn't gush. I am replacing the fuel filter and double checking the in-tank connections at the same time to rule those out, because I think it might be a filter issue. Assuming I do that and it still won't go, are there other logical things to check off in the system?

lol.
The fuckwit who told me it was 120mm was a fuckwit. But I guess I was a fuckwit for not checking. It was a more realistic size.

Cool. On my way to Henderson to see what shows up.

Waitemata Hydraulics?
They carry all that? I always just went there for hoses. Farrrrr, all this grey hair and I'm still learning obvious shit.

I haven't got my hands dirty in a long time tbh, because stuff hasn't been breaking. It's amazing. Mainly because I'm not driving them and mainly having fun on a bike. But now my bike decided the fuel sensor unit needs to start leaking and I need to find a 120mm O-Ring. I'm not going to lie, i have found one online out in Wiri, but I'm hoping to find one closer to the west so it'll be easier to take in a sample that I can match it to. But I don't know where to go, because I don't think repco or SCA are really smart enough, or are they? Like I said, long time, no spanners spun.

These are 14s? I have a set of these on my ute at the moment, I just need to get my snowflakes painted, then they'll be of little use to me

Weird, I've never seen this thread in all my OS lurking.
Whatever happened to old Threeonthetree? -
Awesome, exactly the info I needed, thanks.

This is registered and warranted. I drove it twice. I left it sitting a month or so. There were fuel supply issues I traced back to a fuel line crumbling to fuck. I replaced that with some supercheap fuel house and a generic ryco filter. Now there are other fuel supply issues. I suspect the SCA hose can't handle even the smallest vacuum, and the new fuel filter leaks. Back to problem A. And waitemata hydraulics for proper hose.
I also plumbed in a primer bulb a while back - when it sits fuel disappears, so this gets it going no worries. I'm contemplating putting an Ali Express inline on a switch to prime it. Is this smart? Or just ditch the mechanical pump and go for an electric one fulltime? If so what. Answers please on the back of a stamped, self addressed envelope.

This just sits around.
Replaced the fuel pump, brand new, perished rubbers.
Done about 200km since last WOF, Reg on hold.
Would sell for a fair offer. Auckland
