Do the 1jz and 2jz heads have the same bolt up pattern for inlet / exhaust manifolds? Cams etc? And if i made mounts for the 1jz would they fit a 2jz if i need to change my mind?? cheers...

I need the mounts from my tt132 corona diff swapped onto the hiliux diff housing.. is there anyone around hamilton that would do it? Price, materials etc cheers

Can anyone give me some idea on how to make some engine mounts to fit the 1jz into my tt132, iv had it sitting there and in the place i want it to be, does anyone have any measurements or plans on how i could make this all work?

Everything within reason, put a front mount on a friends wrx, never do that.. top mounts work alot better for that application, intercoolers are designed to lose 2-4 psi , long piping creates lag, aswell as oversized intercoolers, i ran a custom 400x400x100 on my vr4 with 240+ atw and it worked wonders comared to my 700x600x70 off the shelf item..

Studs, the only issue with using studs is you may have to machine the bolt holes to take the larger studs... just from experience with a rb25 block... not sure if it would be the same for a 7m, i was using 12mm arp head studs

Look on trademe for your -6 an fittings, they are cheap as, iv used them before and they havnt failed for me, also can get braided line of trademe aswell for half of what you would get it anywhere else...

Haha, ah to late now, iv brought -10 fuel line, 12.4mm internal diameter. should be fine. ill use something smaller like -6 as a return line.

Would -8 fuel line suit the 1jz, im going to run 1000cc rochester (sp) injectors and a 1000hp(?) SX/Aeromotive fuel pump. should be plenty big enough? one thing iv never changed before...

Its moving along slowly at the moment, but thats alright. iv gotta sort out a front sump and then ill be able to mount it all properly, then its a matter of wiring it up and doing the gasket etc, i had the dream last night i drove it

Yeah, its a matter of diff and suspention at the moment and getting the motor sitting right.. The gearbox crossmember is sorted just gotta get the engine ones in the right place

yeah, he has put together some crazy creations (ls1 in b1600) shit like that and heaps of old toyota bits and pieces... and i was told he was alright to listen to, but yeah im struggling to see it working... swap the mounts over and ill be good i think, saves alot of hassle and no sleeping at nights.....

Ok, i picked up a few bits and pieces the other day from a wrecker, he told me that the tt141 corona diff housing took the hilux diff head and axels, also seemed to think my tt132 diff housing would take them aswell... any help here ? or should i just get a hilux diff and swap mounts over

Ok, the 1j that i picked up had a blowen head gasket, taking it down for a skim today and a new gasket, new waterpump should be here next week along with cambelt etc also... im almost turning pale n passing out just thinking about it... gearbox crossmember rubbers etc swapped straight over from the soarer one to the corona one so that was easy enough.. the mounts on the engine were screwed so im gonna see what else i can use before forking out 300$ just for the mounts

What wheel bearing would i need to fit say a vr4 disc and make a custom adaptor to fit nissan 4 pots on the front? keeping my standard struts, any ideas
