  6. I am planning on using good tyres, I just need to save up for them, and wanted the use of the new wheels while I wait. Seemed fair enough to me.
  7. Yea dude, only reason I got them was they only cost me $100. I could'nt even find normal tyres for cheaper than that, so thought I'd just rock them while I save up for some T1R's
  8. Feck this shit. seems the 17's are going on again until I can either sort guards out (no amount of rolling and prying with tube will pull it) or get more suitable tyres. Sick of shit not working the way I plan it.
  9. It also appears that the front tyres are rubbing on the platic insert thing under 1/3 turns. FML
  10. Ok, so steel bar between tyre and fender doesn't work. Tyre deflects too much (also found some bog in the fender that is starting to break :S ) Tyre is rubbing on guard at the moment, how should I go about rolling them to get them wider?

  12. The wheels are 15X8 0p They cost about $800 for 4 from the states, although some chaps are selling them on TM now for about the same price. And nah, need to change exhaust because it's bottoming out so will prob change the tip aswell.
  13. how would you recomend lipping the guards? I have already got that flit lip part rolled around, so need more pulling or whatever?
  14. They are 205/50 and I got them for $100 so pretty stoked with them. saving up for some T1R's in 205/40 or 195/45 aswell. The plan is to paint the roof black, however, money is key and I have none, so not for a while.
  15. So after waiting a few months for shit to arrive from the states, here it is as of now. although still too high in the front, and the rear needs more camber or spacers + flares.
  16. Yes, those set by the NZTA. It is illegal to have any numberplate on a car that is not issued by the NZTA. I have tried for a stick on one for the MR2. Even if it's reflective and in the same font... they say no. ok, because I went through the legisislation (albeit it was from 2007) and all it had on there was that it had to be reflective and the backing had to be aluminium, so i was after the actual legislation involving this topic.
  17. 2 things : 1) number plates - is there an exact law that states dimensions a plate has to be? 2) what is the law in regards to headlights? Ie those repco "driving lights", can I use them in place of my factory lights? Thanks for any help

  19. Spacing the back of the bonnet is not always such a great idea, despite seeming like it makes sense. it is where the highest + pressure is on the bonnet, meaning that air is more likely to get sucked back into the bonnet than to be pushed out of it.
