haha yeh its not a embaresment anymore i rekon it looks fukn mint in black cuase it sets off the chrome trim and that. ive got paint for it, but am undecided on if ill paint it. cause the body has a few dings and that so would be a fuk load of work as if i was going to do it id want to do it properly.

got wof etc etc.....ive done a bit of work on the car over the last week. swapped all the seats and carpet over from my parts car, makes the inside heaps nicer. also my wheels arrived, and after some gentle persuasion of the rear guards with a sledge hammer....haha, they fit all good. just s slight rub when hitting massive bumps lol. looks so mint now, looks heps stauncher. will get pics up tomoro if it stops raining. next ont he list is to find and stop the leaks that let rain in, so that the carpet doesnt rot (WHICH IS WHY I REPLACED it in the first place), and also recover the dash as its cracked and sshitty looking. oh and i chopped the rear muffler off, hasnt really made it louderr but sounds a bit grumblyer which is mint.

failed wof on rooted front struts, and exhasut manifold leak. swapped over the front suspension from my parts car, and have a mani gasket arriving tomoro, so should be warrented by end of week. got my full licence as well so i can actually legally drive it now haha fuk im useless. swapped some mags i had (wrong stud pattern) for a set of 13" minilights with some sweet dish (well like 30mm dish haha), with two new tyres and two with 3mm tread. so stoked, cant wait to get them. will look fukn dope with a good clean

well i went and put them in the car today, looked prety mint, but they stick out past the edge of the car lol, so the car sits on the tyres at the back when i lower it off the jack....think its just going to be too much hassle/expense to get them fitting good anyways....ah well

yeh thought so. they arnt tridents lol....

hey all. got some rims for my hunter, and they are 4x110 (didnt know when i brout them), and my stud pattern is 4x108. they fit on the studs, but obviously the studs are not in the dead centre. is it legal to slot mags? or are there other options to a)keep me and others safe, and keep it legal cheers

its a spare motor so yeh its not a huge deal if it blows up, would actually be kinda funny haha. but yeh i shall look into it

hey all. managed to track down a guy who hass a few lumpy cams from a hillman hunter for sale. i have just brought another hunter , so the plan is to get the motor running and slowly do some work to it (if i find any money lol). he only wants 60 buks so yeh, im keen as. no idea on the specs etc but i dont think it would be too wild, as the rest of the bits hes selling are standard. ive read that u can lose power at low revs etc with a wild cam but yeh, itd be sweet to have a nice lumpy idle long story short....is it worth it/safe to put a lumpy cam in a standard engine? probably a stupid question but hey we all gota learn sumday

just wondering if one of the people with hunter knowledge (HUNTD, dave etc) would be able to tell me if the camshafts in the two motors (alloy and cast) are the same? im assuming no, but i could be wrong. cheers

was following you out of hilcrest towards cambridge this morning. i was like hey i know that car, its from oldschool!! and my work college was like ummmm riiight....lol. looks dam choice man

well the deal for the carbs etc fell through...a bit bummed but meh saved me spending money lol. but then!!!!! i just brought a complete hunter for 250 buks haha. its a 74 and has differnt lights but thats it. its got a much tidier interior than mine, ie seats, carpet and door cards, so ill to the old swaparoo (its not wofd and reg is dead etc). plus i can finally replace the fukd heater core thingy in mine yay for heat lol. and it never hurts to have spare parts so im stoked. it dusnt run but it did 5 years ago when it was parked up so im sure it cant be to rooted. no biggy if the motors fuked anyway. its the alloy head version which puts out slighty more power than the cast iron head i have, so if i get it running nicely i might swap that as well. so heres some pics

well...long story short, i probably wont be getting them anymore. this is how the story goes. the dude on tardeme had the carbs and the manifold listed seperatly, for 500 and 100 respectivly, and i said will you take 500 for both, and he said if they dont sell ill take 550. then he said he had double vavlve springs and i said ok im keen for thos if i buy the carbs. then he rang me and said you can have the carbs, mani, and a cast iron head with the double valve springs in it, all for 600. so i said yep keen. then i was like do you want me to click on the buy now on tha carbs and withdraw the mani or what. and he said nah ill put the reserve up so to a silly price so that no one bids on them, and it keeps trademe happy. sounds good to me. then this morning (ive been away for a few days) i check trademe, and the carbs had sold for 600. so his idea of a silly reserve was only 100 buks extra. i text him and was like whats going on, and he said the deal was only if they dont sell.....so he got me there, i just thought he would have put the reserve a bit higher but ah well, twas not ment to be...... im too poor anyway.....ive found a whole hunter for 200 buks so i might buy that instead haha
