  1. Soooo Oldschool Competition Results: Keegan Downey - Fiat Uno - 100 Steven Roskruge - Toyota Corolla - 96.21 Mark Burrows - Fiat Uno - 93.21 Heath Simone - Peugeot 205GTI - 93.1 Shane Tinkler - Ford Escort - 87.21 Max Chambers - Ford Escort - 85.52 Brent Shaw - Mazda RX-7 - 83.74 So this was my worst ever event result... 17th... decreasing circles time was 18 seconds more than everyone else... but was 3 seconds quicker in the reversing course... wish it was dry all day! It was great watching everyone race! It was fun watching how involved everyone was getting watching people race and the reactions when people hit cones or made a course mistake...
  2. Anything really. Closed shoes are a must. Typically ill just wear jeans, and a t-shirt with a long sleeve shirt under. A jacket for warmth / dryness from the rain is recommended also.
  3. I got new red wiper blades today for Racey...
  4. Just remember semi slicks take a bit to work, road tyres might work better out of the box than semi's
  5. Weather forcast = WET! If anyone has a folding Gazebo or easy-up things - would be nice to have a dry spot to stand / put stuff.

  11. Awesome ill see if I can convince my friend to bring it up from Hamilton...
  12. I had that with my spherical bearings. 2 days from the UK and then 3 weeks bouncing around Auckland mail centers where no one scanned the package so no-one knew where it was.
  13. Brad - other side of Auckland... which i think is worse...
  14. ohh come on Brad... My car still currently has none of the following: - Gearbox Oil - Driveshafts - Front Suspension - Wheel alignment - Hubs Hoping to get the driveshafts today so i can lay in the rain tonight and put them back in.
  15. Anyone bringing a car down or trailering their can down that can fit a bonnet in the back and bring it up to Auckland for me?
  16. You dont need a m class lic if its your first teo events ever.. for you m class lic you need to be part of a Motorsport nz affiliated car club, the Auckland university car club is the cheapest at $12 a year otherwise it's always nice to support the fiat club who put the series on. 100% cotton workshop overalls are fine for clubsport events. Mitre10 have fire cans with 2 metal straps for $35 which are perfect. Most people use these. A helmet is the other thing - go to the Motorsport nz page and under the schedule a driver safety there is a listing of helmet certifications - the helmet just needs to meet one of those certifications. Just print it out and head to a motorcycle shop and test fit the helmets that meet one of the certifications - mist do these days. Yes dirt bike helmets also are acceptable if they meet the certicification.
  17. In the second post the last link is the min specs for the cars. Motorkhana and autocross both do not need a rollover bar for open top cars, but for the whole series you do not need a cage in closed roof cars for the events. You do not need a roll cage for any Tarmac clubsport event for closed roof cars. What else you want to know or concerned about... EDIT: because was drunkin
  18. I think if your in the same class i won't matter... regarding series points - but who cares come have fun.
