  1. currently running two two-barrel zenith 35/40 INAT the holes are the size of holleys on top has this air filter as it is the only one that fits under the bonnet (it used to have an oil-bath filter) anyone got any photos of NA turbo setups?

  3. sweet as, durty Now for the TECH bit, people!!! (except Spencer, who is not spammmin ) What size turbs? any info on plumbing a NA engine anywhere? If I wanted all out, I'd just go a V8 conversion, but like I says, I don't want to do 7 sec quarters, just want the old bitch to be a bit different (and with a little more "kick")

My plan is for new rings and bearings, I wouldn't turbs her without them. she has been rebuilt at some stage but she's now showin 190k on the odo... means shit tho as the engines were designed for at least 400k before a rebuild anyway. Will see if i can find pics of some innards... Pistons are flat top. engine is non-xflow. 3! compression rings then an oil ring... It's a mercedes benz M114 engine . I've got pics in my workshop manual, but they're no good here!
  6. thminiman: lolz... that was about my plan... but then I started reading turbo stuff... bottom end happy (7 mains), Compression about 9:1... If I was gunna go FI, it would be the bosch merc mechanical injection so it probably wont happen engine is a 2.5 litre, alloy head OHC job

    PAINT THREAD

    another trick with a mettalic basecoat (If you're gunna clear over) is to have a bit more distance between gun and panel and sort of "mist" it on in light, even strokes... avoid a "wet" coat at all costs unless you like stripes!

  17. Pre-ignition? engine too lean? might melt some pistons... if you got timing correct, try colder plugs and some such other shit that someone will shortly explain better than I can coz my memory is fucked
  18. can sell ya an oldschool merc electrix aerial! has up and down button that works... btw, it might come wif a bit of quarter panel coz it comin out wif an concrete saw! $2
  19. OMFG!!! I used to have a thames freighter van in the eightes... drove round welly wif a 186/3-speed and no fuckin clutch... lived up some awsome hills near island bay at that stage!!! LOL! (and it had a sunroof in the back with no glass=rubbish bag) and it had no engine cover between the seats... you could choke it with your hand while driving...

  21. Just wanna say your car looks lower in "real life" photos than in yours... I'd like to apologise for tellin you to lower it! (my ZD had teh big chrome sills so it prolly looked lower than it was)
