    hori-d up sum jumper leads. seemed like a good idea at the time.. made a hell of a mess of the batt. Rofld once i cleand all the shit off my face tho. Smoke and acid nd bits of plastic all over garage

    sweet think its sorted. didnt end up pissing on car, just gave her a good drenching in water. pissed on battery 4 a laugh tho. 1st time iv actually seen / heard 1 explode. pretty much just like a camping trip - in tents

    so uh, my battery just exploded, acid everywhere, all over engine/engine bay etc. how do i neutralise / clean the shit up?
  11. turns out my cable goin from batt. to startr is fukd. easy fix. im in kairanga aye. 5 mins rongo side of palmy. chur 4 the help
  12. can turn engine over by hand and the old ladys pug got it turning over sweet aswell
  13. getting round 2 wiring up the scort nd i connected up all the wires for the starter motr (has pinto in it now), turnd th key nd it just clickd as if 2 tell me iv got a flat battery. battery is sweet. full charge etc, its my old escort 1. so i took the starter motr off nd tried it on the floor, it spun up all good. Got the old ladys hdi pug for a jump start and it turnd it over no problems. question is, is esky battery too weak to power pinto starter motr?

  17. am thinking yes to angle grinding or bashing with hammer. Cortina water pump should bolt up yes? yea im guna put a elec fan on but need rid of gay ass viscous 1 1st
  18. So the sierra engine iv got in the esky has a thermo-viscous fan on it, and its gunna foul on the radiator sumthn shocking. Tried to take it off but its an absoloute cunt. Left hand thread and its got the tiniest clearance between the fan and water pump pulley so cant fit in a spanner coz its way too thick. Its sumwher round a 33mm size. Also kepping the fuckin pulley still is a mission. Have tried putting an old belt round the pulley, vice gripping it and trying to get the cunt loose that way but nothings happnin. Any ideas would be great! That is if you understand what the hell im ranting about
  19. M8 its bronze ok!! yea got the pic issue sorted. The tach was out of a peugeot 504 coupe. Not sure of what year tho. One of my rellies decided we had plenty of room for him to chuck all his parts cars out here so i thought it's be rude not to use them for parts.
  20. Bit more rust to take out Finally got round to putting the gearbox in. Havn't welded the plates on yet tho.
  21. should probly add tht wen i was playn round with the 1600 i found sum huge ass rust holes where 1 of the previous owners had just got sum rubber filler shit and gone crazy.Pulled on a soft spot and half my rr guard fell ot. My rf silll was a complete shambles aswell. that all got re plated tho. Thanks mum and dad for paying for tht 1 ha. Canon Better foto of my favourite accessory. The 'stealth tach'
  22. Bought her off sum chick in Auckland in october '05. Seemed pretty straight at the time. Not a whole lot of mods done. Had the standy 1300, the 15's and a mudbox exhaust on it. Dirty great OSR sticker on the windscreen. Had been resprayed metallic 'bronze'. Shocker of a job, filthy great runs everywhere. On the drive back to palmy the electrics started to fuck out and i was left without windscreen wipers. Luck would have it it started 2 piss down with rain. Great fun that was. Finally got it home after some pretty hairy incidents but home none the less. Took her out that weekend and blew the g/box doing a rollback. First car i'd owned, bound to happen. Replaced it with a standard one and it went fine. Engine started leaking oil all over the show so i converted it to a 1600. Absoloutely loved it! blew another two gearboxes and then in jan '06 i went and joined the army. So she sat at home for about 6 months. Decided 2 leave th army and got back home eventually nd blew the 1600. So since then ive been trying 2 get round to doing the 2l conversion. Engines finally in, not wired up or nethng, just sitting on the mounts. Tunnels all been cut etc, just waiting on a welder and my driveshaft to come back from the machinists. Got a couple of pics atm, looks high as a kite due to bein on axle stands but meh. 2l powerhouse! Gearstick hole badass rims Dash mounted tacho Thats all the pics for now. Will post more when i get round 2 doing more work.

  24. yea another sierra into esky question. Every1 says to put a hillman hunter shaft in when puttin the sierra box in, but i want to know if the hunter and avenger have the same drive shaft? any help would be great
