  1. hi all im looking for someone with the tools and skills to make some changers to a mild steel inlet manifold.on a straight 6 i would like the mounting flange flipped and also the ITBs to be on a 5 degree incline ...re-welded and surfaced please. happy to pay. and it would be very much appreciated i would have ago myself......but want a nice job done.lol. pm me if you can help. cheers dan
  2. sorry @CUL8R the throttle bodies are 50mm bmw m3 from the s54 motor. did a hole heap of searching for what i wanted and found buying a set of a sraight 6 easier.and 50mm is huge.and they were a decent price
  3. Yeah get the steel from work... got a puncher in the trailer that day out side my girls school.... ( not the best day iv had) need with me just dragging the trailer home with 1 flat tyre.. As for the 4.1 mate ....i have all ways wanted a straight 6 mk3 and this kinda came about by just wanting to slap together a burnout car . The motor came up and was within my budget and ticked some box's being manual . And it was a fresh rebuilt race motor so that was a bonus... and then as I got into working in the car it turned out to not be a rust bucket.. there is room for a barra now but this will do the job nicel.
  4. Look what turned up today.... Still a little work to do.but love it. Shame the trumpets I watched for fucking agers to find don' fit.
  5. well that's a fucking relief .... the bonnet shuts...without having to make a bubble in it or try and track down a aussie one. and i have lots of room around the motor and heaps of room for a 14"fan now that the davies craig waterpump plate is on and the radiator is in the slam panel.
  6. just a quick 1 to say im getting excited /aroused they are all most done. man when they get here i will throw that motor back in the hole just to see what they look like in there.
  7. removed the battery tray and huge washer bottle bracket. found the perfect radiator in my shit i have in garage .was oe of the ones i had for my mk2 its a 70mm thick rx2 alloy rad and a bloody good size. so i measures it all up and cut the slam panel to fit it. should be a good fit. started making the bottom and got it welded it...made it to incorporate the bottom bracket for the rad to sit in. thats it so far.
  8. my mate sent me a few more pics of the fannymold and the trumpets arrived
  9. fucking bang. 15" of goodness in the form of mondehoe rims
  10. Hahaha I never finished it mate surprise surprise. But I can them to another mate that used them and had bad bump steer as the car was lowers heaps... he put rose joints and spacers as the rod ends to lower the steering arms to make it all flat and level. And it worked well.
  11. last section of the firewall done... had to cut this out as i think it would have been in the way of the ITBs just needs a weee grind then its the tunnel ..then onto see if i have a radiator that fits and then cut the slam panel to fit
  12. motor and box back out left a huge hole left as much of the original tunnel as possible even using the factory mounts..i think i have done just enough to be able to still use factory carpet.... once trimmed up front. started on the firewall
  13. that could be another problem as there is 1 hole that needs fulling for re drilling and some cert dudes dont like that....... but.......would they really look.
  14. yeeesssss but. lol i might want discs and 5 stud.... because im a fucking idiot
  15. well that it...that the last of cutting shit out of the firewall and tunnel...time to start welding the hole back up. on a + the headers fit and clear everything.....the last collector is pretty fucked so well need replacing .....or i run duel exhaust
  16. Hold on to it Pete and if I find a xf with out an LSD I'll get in contact mate. Cheers
  17. Very true Pete.. The easiest option mate would be 25 spline xa.b.c.d.e.f 25 spline lsd diff and put the lad in the Aussie cortina housing.. And I'm still on the hunt for 1
  18. So what are you hoping for 12 flat or high 11s
  19. Wow that short mate like 20mm wid er each side than an escort diff. And holy shit mate 12.5 is a very respectable time
  20. He'l yeah.....hiw.much shorter is the valitank housing
  21. Oh yeah........what are you building a diff for.? Had it since I had my escort van.lol
  22. As per usual guys and girls any info on the 25 / 28 spline diff swaps would be awesome.. Cheers I think worse case I still have Pete's jig for welding diffs nice and straight so I could cut and make something work.
  23. This could be true mate. And I will find out 1 way or another if the info I've been given is true or not....wouldnt be the 1st time I was wrong. And the mk3 4 and 5 cortinas didn't have leaf springs man..
