  1. plans have advanced a bit. they include: 15x6 gloss black steelies with whitewalls fuzzy dice & 8 ball gear knob extreme lowering woodgrain steering wheel oldskool stz'ing sunvisor (need to find one of these) pics to come soon

  3. lol. yeah the esky never got legal, its a long ass story. ive been keeping it on the DL but she'll be ready in February. kinda got the modification bug ya see... SPECS will be: Engine: 1600. 1300 pistons. ported & polished. if funds allow, a hotter camshaft. same downdraught carby, sidies are hawt but expensive & im not really looking at going fast or anything. same extractors & exhaust, however gonna get a whole new system (legal & a wee bit quiter lol) with my dumpy out the back. block etc will be painted, prolly silver. Suspension: Dobi sport lowering springs up front, new shock inserts if funds allow & 2 inch lowering blocks out the back. Interior: rip out my gay ass camo job. rip out gay silver carpet. take to retrimmers and let them work their magic. will have grey & black doorskins, new grey or silver carpet, rear seat retrimmed in grey & black, 2x Autotecnica grey n black raceseats. tacho moved to pillar. dash pad retrimmed prolly in black vinyl or something. custom center console with 3x Autogauge gauges. fit my headunit & 6x9s. 6x9s will be in custom moulded rear parcel tray retrimmed in black leather. new sub & amp in custom box in boot blah blah blah Wheels: same rims at the mo, however centres are black now. saving up for some Cragar Quicktricks, MODJAYS YO! yeah thats all i can relay off the top of my head at the mo. looking forward to becoming an active member again & coming to meets & trackdays etc. and pissups ftw. Chur boes EDIT: the rims will look kinda like that now. i think. my paint skills = ftl
  4. got bored so threw some blocks in and compressed the front springs. wagons been mine for about 6 months or so, sister never showed any interest in it also, put sounds in, mp3 heady and some 6x9s
  5. oh yeah im still alive. been busy as a motherfucker/misses cheated on me last night so im resorting to some e-g33kness pulled the beast off the road due to a snapped accelerator cable and found.... engine mounts were non existent...motor was basically sitting on the power steering pump dodgy as. earth lead was wearing through in heaps of places, and was wrapped around steering rack, causing the electrics to cut out while turning right on hard lock. so i whipped the head off, scraped the large amounts of carbon deposits off the top of the pistons and the valves etc. gave the head a port & polish. while i was at it i discovered at some point shes had a recondition and has been bored out to around 2.7 litres. size 40 slugs etc ripped carbs off and replaced the standard butterflies (shitty springs in em were stuck open aiding in the running on) with some brand new ones minus the spring. got some K&N style pancake filters off my Dads MGA that im gonna chuck on, and have nice stainless muff to chuck on (no, not a fart cannon) should be all sussed in a few weeks, running alot smoother EDIT: cellphone photo ftl

    Almost certainly. These blocks were all the same bore, and varying cranks were used to change the capacity. If it's *not* a 1600, then it could be worth lots! Is is a 4 or 6 bolt crank? Whatever, it's the best of the (usual) early 60's kent blocks, but not as good as a 711M. havent pulled it apart yet so cant tell ya, will rip her apart sometime this month

  12. nothing major, have an old school style stainless muffler which will be chucked on the rear, and i want it lower...if i win lotto i will paint it & chuck some big rims on but hey - noones invented a money tree yet

  14. usually, got timing checked out, was only 5 deg out. Dad seems to think it is because 1) the cylinders need a decoke (it only runs on when warm, therefore the carbon deposits in the cylinders are still glowing red hot , providing the "spark" and 2) because the carbs need a tune & they are still stuck open or something, providing the engine with fuel even when turned off??? Flange you bastard...wanna swap?

    how do you tell a 1300 from a 1600??? i have a motor i picked up from the neighbours...we suspect it came from a Mk2 Ghia, but we arent 100% sure. does the "code" along the side of the block tell you?

  19. haha get fucked. i'll reserve that sorta shit for my other cars. this car is for cruising the running on?i reckon the carbs are stuck open a bit or some shiznit. idles waaaaay higher in Neutral as opposed to Reverse or Drive soooo yeah im gonna pull apart the carbs sometime in the near future. gets rather embarrassing sitting there in town with it still chugging away also, air intake pipe will never stay on, goddammit. attepted to cable tie the fucker on, but its rather difficult at the bottom front left brake pad only has like a few centimetres left, so went out & bought some Ferrodo brake pads & also a new battery engine piccie is up now m34n b03z

  21. yeah it would be awesome if it was manual aye. nah nah im pretty easy on the boot, driveshaft vibrates pretty hard when at high speed and you let off the gas a bit have some plans which none of you will like im sure, but hey its my car. and no im not gonna tang it, put it on trailer wheels or spray it matte black
  22. 1977 Triumph 2500TC 2.5L straight six, twin SU carbs, auto 124,000 kms Mods as of now: compressed springs (bought like that, has a bit of negative camber in the rear ) 2500 "S" alloys or some shit, pretty kool. nice NEW tires too. chrome rocker cover & thermostat housing got her for $500, with fried battery leads etc payed $300 to fix all that, so yeah a good car for $800 mint body, no dents, scratches or rust has a few electrical problems but all easy fixes ive had her for 2 months now, been on a few long distance trips, a fucking beast. runs on like a MOTHERFUCKER though
