yea its a real pain... did u mod ur sump? i wasnt sayin that the prob is with the pickup i ment that ur sump that u would of had to mod to put in ur esky might have abit more step than the other engine it worked on and is resticting the flo to the pickup.

hey man i had the same prob with mine... what happend with mine was when i modded the sump i had to bend the oil pick-up a tad to clear the step i had made, and i didnt bend it enough so it was right up against the bottom... but ve careful when bending it not to bend it to much so the counters on the crank shaft dont hit the pipe.. as i did also try taking out the oi rail above the cam and run some oil/water thro it and make sure all the pin holes are clear. hope that helps Donovan

my best advise is get a haynes manual... i rebuilt mine as my first engine and the haynes was my bible! simple engines realy... as long as u got some patients it should be sweet

yer repco is where i got em aye. yea i rekon it might be the pedal box you used. mines sweet.. besided the hole i made for the clutch cable is to low and my clutch cable keeps snapping gotta grind the shaft off drill a new hole hire up and weld back on... any one got a welder lol and yea fix ur window wipers

two_days_late my esky used to be a auto 1300 and now its got a 5speed 2l in it and ive got aftermarket pedals on my pedals and i still have about 3-5cm gap between the pedal and carpet/transtunnel...

yea but only the 2 piece ones did. my new single piece works mint! no vibration.

yer the universals fuck out. the middle join.. for some reason they vibrate like MAD on my esky..

ive got no idea man.. think i just got the shit end of the stick aye.. just a standy 2L and race cam... yea they both broke just as i dumped the clutch to pull a skid... maybe the 15s put abit more pressure on the shaft...

yea the 2piece drive shaft on mk2s dont do to well with the 2L... ive been thro 3 of them in 2 months and then i got a 1piece and havnt had any problems yet..

I use a 1piece drive shaft from a mk1 auto much stronger. the 2 piece ones in mk2s suck shit.... and vibrate like mad. just give the tunnel a beat. we done it on my mates mk2 2door and was easy az!! lataz Donova

I live in puhoi north of orewa. only drivin through orewa and whangaparoa a few times as it dont have wof or rego or cert plate haha, where abouts do u live eski boi? i saw a blue esky sacked on some 13s cruise past orewa college about 2 weeks ago. anyways gettin pitstop to fix there fuckup in the morn and then wof in penrose 2morrow. gettin the cert plate put on, on sat. its in tauranga

yea i was thinking about a switch aye but didnt think he woulda accepted it, but yea it was one of the points (of 9) that it failed on so yea ill check ltsa website and try print the page that states its not require by law and show the fool. it used to be an auto, the old auto box is at my old mans place, would the swich be on that?? sounds simple enough to wire up so why not...

Hey Sorry if im hijacking your thread. but thought this might be usefull to you 2. Ive just finnished my 2L + 5speed sierra convertion on my mk2 esky. got my certs and went for wof the other day and the guy had a cry about my reverse lights not working, i knew this but thought i could get away with it. now i need them hooked up. any one know how to hook up the revers lights up to the 5speed?? cheers Donovan
