all good man i know what u mean. i pretty much done it the hard way and was lucki i spose. just used the resorses i had n it all pretty much went together. one thing i am a lil concernd about is my engine is a 2L and dont kno if maybe the 2L affects the position of the gearbox.. maybe a little forward or backward. my 2L is using the mounts off my 1300. with 1cm spacers on each side. so im assuming the position is about the same.. then again we put a 5speed on my mate 1600 and it was all good. so dont know if the 5speed on a 1300 would maybe be differant to what a 5speed with 2L?

ok the auto gearbox off the escort the cross member will work. mount it round the other way. and the standard drive shaft will fit. i used my old one and it was all good. till it fucked out with the 2L. ive got a single piece now. u dont have to take my word for anything i said.. just what ive learnt from doin it before

to me its all common sence.. Right now listen up. u gotta think what do i need to make the clutch work? ok i need a extra pedal.. Find a manual pedal box. then u goin to notice that u need a clutch cable.. Get a mk4/5 2L cortina clutch cable, get a new one cause a old will will be stretch az fuck and be to long... OMG now what theres no hole to put the cable through. drill one and weld a piece of pipe about 1" long thats big enough to get the round plastic bit with the rubber in it to fit.. ok now thats done ur gunna need a gearbox. 4spd or 5spd? ok 5speed. now take the cross-member off the auto box and bolt it onto the 5speed box and ill bolt up to the origanal holes.. now ur thinking but what about clutch.. use a sierra clutch. bolt the bitch up. now hook up the clutch cable and adjust it till shes right. the old starter motor will be all good. OK so now u wondering "DAM what about drive shaft" IF your using 5speed then ur auto drive shaft WILL FIT. if ur doin 4speed get a standard manual drive shaft. ok so now u cant get the gear stick through cause ur 5speed is too long. get ur angle grinder and slot the hole till it will fit.. so now u go to start her up and OMFG ITS BROKEN IT WONT WORK!!! yes now go back to the engine bay and on the side of the starter motor ull see a lil plug just sittin there with 2 wires... cut it and join the wires. SWEET ITS ALIVE! ok now try drive it and all should be good... ull notice ur reverse lights dont work.. who cares u dont need em.. or just connect it to the reverse switch on the gearbox.. **NOTE** Drilling the hole in your firewall is tricky. u gotta make it high enough so it doesnt bend over the pedal but low enough so that it doesnt pull the cable off the pedal...

the mount is wiked. not far jodi! and plus it dont matter if u fuck ur 1300 cause im gunna put a 2L in it anyway any way a cruise to the mount would be sweet im def keen. ill get Playhard to come round with a few eskys/cortys

sup make sure u drill the hole directly inline with the pedal. not to high but not to low! if its to low the cable will bend on the pedal and snap it... (ive been through 3 cables) also get a 2 in long pipe wide enough so the plastic bit fits just into it. cut it on a angle and angle it up. weld her up and all systems go. make sure u tighten up the adjusting nuts good cause they have a habbit of rattling loose. but yea its Very important that the cable does not touch the pedal when fully pressed down. PS i kno what ur talking about the plastic bit coming out. mine done the same. one of the lil clips on the side broke off, so now i have 6 cable ties holding it down it works mint! just put one across the fron one on the back and 4 in a X over it

i live 2mins from wenderholm... its awesome. heaps of grass space to park up. bbqs benches, beach is mint and warm, and the estury side is pretty sweet too. i practicaly work there... deff worth the cruise, mahurangi regional park is way more "prettier" but there is gravel road leading up to it....

tru that. still should have the meet around aucks to make it fair for us up north and those on the south. west east whateva lol i dont realy care aye. always keen for a cruise

im with droppdkp on that one. piha sounds wicked rekon the next meet should be there or up north.. mahurangi reserve is awesome or wenderholm park (speed bumps there suck tho)

wats half way between htown and aux.... thats worth cruisin...

we could have another meet sometime soon. like early/mid feb. kinda like a monthly thing maybe if we started organising this abit earlier give more ppl time to plan/deside to come.

yer mine used to be a 1300 auto..its got a 4.1 diff and its doin well so far aye. i do recomend a single piece drive shaft tho.. been through the 2 piece ones aye, the uni joint in the middle fuck out. but i have been told its prob my bad luck cause no one els has had that prob.. who knos.

umm its already happend.... Prettyinpunk has a mighty 1300 that guy asked me to do a skid just b4 i left too. i tried but had a car full so just done a hard launch haha. i did do a skid around the circle thing up there tho, wich resulted in my center console by my GFs feet lol

bridgstone MY-01s come in 195/50/15s pretty sticky tyres tho.. how wide are your 15s?? if they are 7" wide then im sure u could stretch some low profile 185s on would look sweet.

Hey, I had pitstop do my exhaust system a few months ago, when i got it back i saw that they had welded the mounting bracket for the muffler ontop if my (cannon) muffler now a few months later it had broken off making a massive hole in the top of my muffler... just wanted to kno whos at fault, can i compain to pitstop n get em to sus it? if not can it be fixed?
