  1. motor and bbow dummy bolted up checking clearance around engine, motor sits alittle forward and high but ohwell Installed a new crossmember with std mounts on it, thanks to david with a ma61! got some engine mounts from him to suit a 1uz so i will copy them and make them this week
  2. well it would allow movement like in a tilting sorta way, so if the gbox jumped up the motor would be able to move with it, bearings are cheap anyways. Bearing or just lump of ally??

  4. got a pic boes Yea ive already hacked the old angle mounts off member, trying to go to vertical style like you said bro. Cant really be fuck mount gbox sold aswell, i d have to for a cert thio aye? certs are over rated!

  6. ah fuk it im confused now, non of the mounts ive seen have a 12mm stud, fukn should make the brackets to go the the std crossmember mounts aye!!!!!
  7. pretty sure a half cage/rollbar is legal in a road registered car without a manz approved, when you get manz approved with a full cage you need to run log book etc... im pretty sure a half car will stiffen the rear emnd up alot as it ties the suspension points together aswell is the two chassis rails
  8. got some ford ones today, i need 12mm studs not 10mm, that ws silly wasnt it!!!! What about solid ally bushes? ive seen i !uz rev with a coin on the top and it didnt move, wonder if theyd be savage or not!?

Spence, the toyota ones are pretty beefy mazzive, cant sit motor low enough as the bottom stud ends up sitting on the crossmember, and cant drill a hole through as thats where bottom arm mount is... Yea 40$ sounds more like me

After some rubber engine mounts around 70 mm in diameter with a 10mm stud on either end. and need to to be fairly short in height, like 30-40mm? any ideas Any of you buys work at repco that could suss me a staff rate, the cunts wanted 61$ each for some ford ones that looked about right according to one of there books
  14. well, basically just want a half cage/rollbar as i will be doing mainly open days and car will be for road use, I can weld and have alot of gear to make one up, so i could knock up a 4 point cage for 2-300 i would think. Really just want something to do and why pay someone to do it if you can?
  15. Hey what sorta things should i look out for when atempting to build a roll cage? Basically i can get a hoop bent up for f all and just run straight bars from hoop? what sorta steel etc/

  17. ah steering arm fits the GX ball joint aye, the strut sits forward on the steering arm so mor caster. Im gana weld the threaded bottom bracket onto the JZX strut tube and redrill the strut tops so i can start to mock up the struts, the tie rod taper is different so ill have to find a tie rod that works, but its sweet cause jzx steering arm is like 30mm shorter so steering will be faster and more lock!
  18. paid 1100 for the motor from a wrekers aye, its came with all the bolt ons as some people dont have alternators or powersteer pumps etc.. Um for other bits its been 1000 for fly and bell, and 550 for cluctch kit. Fucking adds up aye

  22. Go coilover in the front, with around 6kg front 4 kg rear, go to a suspension place and ask em to find insets or shocks from a hevier car

O.k time for a update, Ive got a custom bellhousing from a1 turbos, w57 box with a front shift (i need a rear position). got a billet flywheel to suit 9.5" clutch, also got a exedy pink tuff 5 puk clutch kit. Ive decided to make new mounts on the crossmember instead of making new ones from motor, by using the factory cast alloy ones, it looks like it will be easyer and will look abit better and will be sitting the motor vertically on the mounts rather than form the side, hopefully works out.. Also brought brand new BC coilovers for a s13 that ill adapt onto the jzx81 5 bolt struts that im putting in, felt weird cutting up brand new coilovers! Ill keep the rear 4 stud as to use all the 4 stud wheels i have, but im think a 6.5" wheel isnt gana be enough grip 4 a v8. decided to just keep it white as i CBF going hard out on body owrk incase i stack it or something, good thing ive got like 3 sets of everthing! Would love it to look like this!
