  2. been working on the body of the new tina, half primed up now. heres some pics of it - -notice my custom front lip Also shaved all the locks off, best thing you can do for security I reckon.

  4. haha, yeh maybe, just in the process of spraying my new cortina atm. we could work something out and get your car painted if you were keen, but remember prep is something like 90% of the work to make it look mint, thatd be on your behalf , your gonna have to shortend you shocks if you get cut springs, or else you could run into all sorts of shit, the cuts i had in the rear of the cortina were under half the height of the standard springs, dodge as fuck, im getting some shortshocks in the mail sometime soon

  6. i got mine for 300. i MUST warn anyone wanting to get these rims, make sure you are using the factory tapered washer nuts off a mondeo! my cars a write off after the wheel falling off on the motorway because i was given the wrong nuts when i bought them. yeh some on trademe atm 400 with good tyres - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 646722.htm offset is fwd, code off the back of my fucked rim are 6jx16hz et40, all sweet for a mk5cortina, even with cut springs in it, no guard rub yeah droppedkp, bigger rims would look sick on your car, means you can sack it out harder eh thats if you get a good offset, get more chicks aswell i reckon, chicks dont appreciate 13" oldschool rims. also cheaper tyres, for my 16s, i got a full set of 2nd hand 205/50/r16s for 200 all fitted and balanced.
  7. already got a couple of pairs, trying to get away frmo the standard side of things aye lol thanks anyway man. yeh i think ill get some custom springs made up, giving for the fact that apparently snells will fix them if they fuck them up and you arent happy with them, this way i know im gonna eventially get what i want
  8. yeh, i sometimes think so aswell, thats why i still got them in my room just incase. the 16s are just more appealing to me atm because it raises the front crossmember back up to legal height(tridents made it 85mm) and i can sack out the rear hard becuase these wheels clear the guards no sweat. where did you suggest to get springs compressed a while ago? im gonna get a pair of rears done for the new tina, which by the way should be on the road within a month

    you will also have to rewire the connections possibly, i do know that on my cortina, i have to rewire the wiring in the shitty "L" so i can fit in the dash out of my "S"
  10. so your just pulling the axle out of the diff? if so get a slide hammer/ dent puller get some chain and attach it to one of the studs and bash the fuckker out i think maybe pull it out with another car with a chain

Mean car, brother gave it to me stock, then i done it up, paint, mags, lowering, exhuast etc. Heres what it was like when I got it: A bit later, with tridents, and lowered, and body work pretty much done: Once painted: I got some 16s off a mondeo: 20mins of driving, and one of them falls off on the MOTORWAY?? WTF dw i was uninjured, but the tyre shop who put the mags on for me was court ruled to pay me $1000 and give me set of tyres. what its like now, Pigs love it in the condish its in now, been pulled over like 10 times, but they cant do shit, all wof/rego and legal. NEW CORTINA TO COME SOON........ pretty much gonna be a replica, same colour, same mags, same engine. but also, recaros, better paint, custom front grille/front lip, darker tints, detailed engine bay, new 2.25" piping and droopy exhuast, maybe even some side draughts pics of the new tina soon...
  12. your chassis might be fucked aswell, just get the all the bits to replace the fucked ones and if they dont all bolt in and align sweet, then you gotta take it to the pros. thats what happend to the tina, brother slid it into a curb, fucked one of the front wheels, whole crossmember, and chassis slightly twisted, was liek $500 to fix.

    make sure nothings damp, when i done the cambelt on my tina, i left the bonnet up over night, and all the moisture caused the electrical side of things to not work, i just got a heat gun out and heated everything so it was sure to be dry as lol.
