and is there any differnce in how they are fitted

i wud lik to get some adjustble coil overs in front of my esky panel van, but wat is the difference betwen them and adjustable normal shocks, i have not idea

lik want to do most of the work myself or for him to show me, i tried to do the stuff on my fxgt, but most is to technical , lik i can do the brakes on the fx ,shocks, oil filter but nethign else i dont want to touch but i wud lik to know how to redo the drum brakes and other things on the old escort, good for learning

yeh my mechainc pulled a few strings and got a drive shaft price of $200 and $45 for the clutch plate he also sed i shud get all these things done cuz its been off the road 4 bout 10 years waterpump = 35 radiator = 150 plugs/points/condensor = 27 leads = 35 brakes (drums) = 40 cylinders = 20 pads = 20 calipers = 40 skim (discs) = 30 oil/filter = 40 and windscreen fitted =40 total = 487 free labour

my panelvan runs a 1600 gt motor soon to have 5sp wiht a 4.4 i havnt driven it yet cuz still sortin out rust etc but previous owner sed it beat almost nething of the line with the 4.4, im keepin this cuz im not worried bout top end bucz y take on a wrx up top wen u know it ll win jus beat down low to 50ks and button off

got a panel van with mk2 cortina gt 1600 in it im wantin to fit a sierra 5sp in it that i have wat else is need to link up to motor. i know its not as traight bolt up lik withthe 2lt do i need to use the sierra clucth or fly wheel etc

hey finally gettin started on the panelvan rusted out floor shud b finished in couple of weeks. got a 1600 gt motor out of mk cortina. i got a sierra 5sp but wat else is need to fit in clutch flywheel etc? i found some superlow springs fo r the front and a mate is goin to sack the rear. its a proper panel van, so no gay side windows wat colour shud i paint it, dont want white they look cheap and gay, dont want red bcuz it expensive and hav to always look after it, was think bright but deep yellow(not gay lik some jappas where u can c thru them almost) with a mat blac bonnet any other suggestions want it to stand out, but not pink

wat r the dates i wanna take the esky panel van down but dont know wen the dates r is it this year or nex year mine will b semi finished for new years gona rol around primered and do paint and interior wen get back

yeh not to keen on teh pintos aye i had a couple of them lyin around but sold them . and id rather spend the money on the 1600 instead of the 300 odd for the cert plus fittin it all. i will b puttin a 4agze supercharger on it but jus want to get it runnin a bit quicker to giv some fun over new years . one of my other cars is a fxgt i picked up for $150 . i was considerin takin teh motor out of that and chuckin it in esky but my mate has offered me 1700 for it so .... my mechanic is also doin the labour for free as he had promised me his panel van with over 4k spent on the pinto in it since i was lik 12 but he had to sell it so he sed hed do this 1 for free.

but iv heard goin up to teh 40/40 can be quite laggy. so wud u say chuck some 1300 pistons in and wat size exhasut 2in. and wen wills urs be finished ?

yeh bein a sport motor its already got teh 4-1 extractors and hot cam with the twin down draught yeh i no aye iv had this panel van for bout a year will get some pics on weekend . its jus been sittin in mechanics workshop waitin its turn lik its a ground up rebuild cuz previous owner banked the rear end so he had all the rust removed from body and all panelbeaten so jus gotta paint

got a 1600 crossflow motor in my mk2 esky panel van will be 5sp . wat mods can b done that r cheap, most effective and doesnt invole forced induction for insurance reasons. im guessin 2in exhaust, and iv heard of ppl puttin the 1300 pistons in to raise the compresion. and buz it will b daily driven dont want side druaghts bcuz petrol prices are insane these days

yeh in my panel van im usin sport runnin gear and it has the smae sized carb as my mates cortina sport

hey doin up a panelvan with the 1600 sport motor . i already hav a sierra gb but are unsure on teh mods needed to fit it . i think i need to shorten teh drive shaft and make the hole in teh tunnel further back . but wat else is needed. im also supercharging it with 1 of tehm 4agze ones is this a good option as i heard they bolt straight on to teh 1600 block cheers
