  1. Yeah mate, seperate radio controls. Just got a sweet new pioneer headdeck on sale and got it chucked in today. Good to have sounds again! Going to try hook those controls up to the rear speakers so that the passengers in the back can control their own volume. Carbied big time man! It's all bung, bung, bickety, bung, bang! when decelerating! Going to try chuck the visor on it, a quick measure up and it looks easy enough to make up some custom brackets to hold it there.
  2. Project discusion = viewtopic.php?f=18&t=16162 I'm (kind of) proud to introduce y'all to my new whip, the offical vehicle of the 1985 Yugoslavian Winter Olympics: My '82 Delica, complete with a genuine green 90,000 km traveled on its 1800 sirius engine. green. Owned and toured by a elderly couple for years in the south island. 9 seater, massive sunroof, green... what more could you want? More air conditioning/vents than uh, green, um, office building? Prefect roadie machinene. Fold down seats into a bed, choice. Need some big ol' chrome mirrors + roof racks + visor + more green. Got the lil stainless wheel bands. Might spray the rims matty b and clean up the bands until/if I find some choice 5 stud wheels. Rad. Oh yeah, its green.
  3. Sold. / Going to a proven good home @ one of Nissan NZ's Chief Executives.
  4. It's currently on Ebay for any interested: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0269546425
  5. I'm stoked with the workmanship of Colin Davis panelbeaters in Birch Ave, but the forman's a real noob to deal with, that's the only downer.
  6. Yeah, fully know I will, as I have with most/all of my past cars. But can't afford the loan I've got at the moment, let alone taking out another one. The way I see it is this, if I sell it, I can pay off my loan, go to friends wedding, get another (but no where near as epicly cool) O/S car. Kind of like killing 3 birds with one stone (or one really, really nice car).
  7. Forever will be too soon... Hahaha, had a good lol though!
  8. Edit. Whoops, stuffed this up. Sposed to be a PM.
  9. Haha Tori! Price? Just looking at serious offers ATM, if someone want's it enough, they'll let me know. What am I doing? All laughing at my inability to hold on to rare Jap's and automotive A.D.D can start.......... NOW! I'll be the first, "Haha! I stink!"
  10. Cheers guys, yep, allready got debt which I owe to family, which if I sold the car, I could repay, go to mates wedding, and buy another O/S car with too. But still love the Gloria. I've given it some serious thought, and figure it's a mate (a best mate at that, grew up with him back in the day etc), and to me cars are cool and I love em, but mates and family come before inanimate objects. Still trying to figure out another way, but figure this to be the best so far.
  11. Possibly up for sale soon. Caught up with one of my best mates and promised to go to his wedding, which is in Fiji (saying all this when I had a sweet paying job which has since run out and am now only doing 1-2 days a week). And seeing as I'm pretty broke again, after much thinking, I figure this is the only way apart from getting one of those 50% interest loans (which I can't afford anyway) to get there. If anyone has a serious offer, they can PM me. Serriously I love my car, but mates come 1st. I don't know what to do.
  12. Red and purples = the crazy ozy birds right? How much we have at the nighttime cruise? 4 in the front 4 or more in the back, easy? Twas a bit cramped. Can't wait to do it again!
  13. Looking good Tori! Needs some rad coloured steels, red or yellow or green style... Still want your roof racks - did you get that visor fitted up yet?
  14. Yeah, I'll be there no matter what probebly. I can't remember ever missing it. Allways been rolling in a jappa every year too! Would be good to have someone else as back up for all the red neck abuse though for once... Nah, it's not that bad, everyone seemed to love the Gloria and big jap flag this year, thumbs up and smiles for miles. Only a handfull got smart but it was all lol's. Got to slam it on whitewalls before then though, allthough, having 8-9 people in the car as we did this year brought it pretty low. Definatly going to try enter the next one.
  15. Yeah I can see a spot or two where there's a high or low spot, I just use a light at one end and look down it for shadows + touch it, but might give that a go. I figure white will hide a little bit of it, but want to do a good a job as possible as I might try doing the Prince. So putty seems to be the go? Edit: Is there also anything you can mark the bit's to fill with? Like chalk or something? Something that won't effect or bleed through the paint? I've just been using little bit's of sticky tape to mark spots to fill but it's annoying.
  16. Knifing putty? Is that like glazing putty? Yeah, I'm sanding the last coat by hand and upping getting finer and finer sandpaper. I used to paint houses and the same basic principles apply for getting it nice and smooth. Or at least that's what I've found out. Sand in circles or crossing etc... Oh yeah, is a orby sander a bad idea? I had some reservations, but it's come up sooo smooth, and sooo much quicker!!
  17. Hey all, just trying my hand at paneling on my old mans wagon, fixing up some dings and scraps on the drivers side. Pretty stoked with how it's gone so far, my 1st proper time using my new hammer and dolly kit thing that I got for a present and used a bit of bog as well to smooth it all out. It's come out mint IMO. I've used the fanciest bog I could find at repco and used a random oribital sander thing to get it all smooth, don't know if either of those is a good thing, but it's come up pretty flash, and it's artic white when it'l be resprayed. There's just a few little blemishs about 1-3mm wide and about the same deep, and I was wondering is there any like, final skim coat of bog thing that I can use to fill them? I've had that high build primer stuff but it was from a can and only had a tiny nossle on it so don't know who effective that was. Only good for filling the sanding marks really. But is there anything I can buy easyly for filling these tiny holes in the bog?
  18. Sounds a bit interesting - stickers = pppffft, but badging would be intense!! Specially if it's the O.G lefthander "Prince" writing badge. (you notice that ky? Japanesse dude must of been a lefty) Dude, seriously, I thought I had skinny tyres - but how skinny are your fronts? If you looked at them straight on you'd probebly miss them!! Good to see it's moving again!! Keep up the good effort mate.
  19. Ok, here's some pics fresh off the press, taken this avo. Sunset was so much more cranking and pink but photo's don't do it justice... As you can see I'm still after the piece of boot lid trim, but at least you can see the job they done is top notch.
  20. Sorry for the delay in pics, super busy + weather + lack of last piece of boot lid trim = no photo's. If you want a good broker, I really recommend Brett Bar-Smith from Crombie Lockwood in TGA, he is straight up awesome and gets on the case like no one else, and finds the cheapest insurence rates at the same time! There was a lot of hassle with the panel beaters, not the actual work, just the man in charge really messed me around a lot, and was a real pain. Got to go have a chat with the assessor and him and try and get it sorted.
  21. Yeah man, nice to finally meet ya - cheers for the visor, she looks pretty snug compaired to the last one. And your minor is so rat!! Definatly need to bung that visor on as well... Photo's will be up AsAP, been super busy lately, running around the country and what not, will get them up when I get the final piece of trim on the boot. Oh, if anyone can get hold of/has the piece of bootlid trim, PM me cause I'd be keen.
  22. I'll put some pics up ASAP, still waiting on a sunny day - it's been raining/gails for weeks! Cheers to Zak (above) for the shiny (well...) new throttle bushing. Old rubber one gave was perished, so took it out and was running for a while without it and it only had about 1/2 throttle. It's seriously given it back about 50 hp (out of the 106 it came with )!! Hahahaha! I don't know how I put up with it being so slow for ages!! It cruised up Hamishs hill in 3rd no sweat! So stoked bro! I owe ya one, name it, it's done.
  23. Cheers y'all! So, so stoked right now. Off for a new WoF tomorrow. Didn't get the whole thing painted as my work has dryed up till after the elections (typical), so holding onto the $$ at the moment, but got the whole thing polished up, and it's looking primo. Will get pics up ASAP. He's just having me on now, not wanting to pay for the parts... So dropping the bill in to him tomorrow anyway, and telling him to pay up. He's getting an assesor in and everything, so put's a bit of a downer on the situation. Work/paint wise I'm seriously stoked, but I personally found they aren't the best to deal with face to face. He also just bunged the rusty part of the bumper back on which is another thing I'll have to get sorted. I'm not going to fork out to get it back to where it was in the beggining. I mean, I understand he has a bussiness and needs to make money, but he's also got the job of getting it back to the way it was, and I didn't have a big rusty bumper with a hole in it. Will post up some pics so y'all know what I'm going on about. Also should of paid for them to do the drivers side sill while they were at it, as it's got quite a few stone chips. It's on the to-do list. Oh yeah, Zak, I'll bring it round to your work tomorrow if ya want, and have a chat about the spacers.
