Crime against Mazda's. PAC are so weird, now i see them advertising on fb some loan shark looking finance to get your car ruined by them. More of a finance co/scene tax scam with cars awkwardly tacked on.

Why the fuck would a fuel co put palm/coconut oil in 91 lol. Facebook is spawning a lot of weird conspiracy loons out of otherwise just annoying Barrys
/heard some interesting thing about the youtube sliding scale, regardless of where you land on the rational-loon scale it slides you down hill toward loon due to loon shit being more tasty to click or some shit

Good example of why 60k may seem a lot for an old Mazda but its not. Add up the value of the parts and estimate the hrs from the build thread. Just going down the auction list I would estimate 30k in bits + shell + freight + labour. Worth every cent, actually I would say buyer is being subsidised by current owner.

I do have a pdf brochure somewhere of the genuine accessories for motorsport purposes, but spoilers in the main were aftermarket.
In NZ the main offering was boot spoiler, and two separate side pieces that mounted on the rear quarters.
I did have a new set, but I think I flicked them off after I sold a project coupe a few years ago.
Bit hard to see in this pic, but spoiler comes around the corner onto the quarters, but is in three pieces. Many RX-7 S 1's had the same style.
Those 3 piece ones look so flippin good on the back of a 3 coupe, love them.

Had a phone call from a guy today who is designing a stub axle for an rx3 to suit a bolt on strut instead of having to weld stuff to the original one
Sounds like hes planning on making a few of them, hopefully it works out cause it might make things easier
Keen.
OEM one is apparently quite shit and flexes.. maybe not an issue with street car dunno

Nice, i have some needle nose vice grips that I might be able to get to work, will have a go anyway. I bought a MIG about a year ago, havent turned it on yet

50k might buy you a lot more in 6mnths than today when unemployment is a lot higher... just saying.
On 3 coupes with the whale tail spoiler thing, was that factory and was rear quarter different to suit?

Buy one now why they are not stupid dollars and thrash the fuck out of it cause it wasn't stupid dollars and get a stupid amount of smiles for not a stupid amount of dollars.
My mate has thrash his one relentlessly for the past 7 years and it still hasn't died.
Buy, thrash, win.
Your money but ... Buy, break, $$$, lose seems a more likely outcome

5/8 x .035 , will crunch the numbers when my phone has finished its software update
Just now, Adoom said:They are just vice grips with bits of metal welded to the jaws.... You could probably make some out of those cheap small size needle nose vice grips
Yeah but the mucking around isn't really worth it and the result would be maybe ok but I'm a fussy Barry (sometimes)

I like the look of the linked one below but doesn't go small enough - I need to bead some 5/8 ali tube. Does anyone know if something that will do 5/8 is available in NZ?

you think with the recent events that the mazda / other classic car bubble may have been slightly deflated? or possibly still to come?
Cosmo's are awesome/under rated.
Regarding car prices, i dont know, at a guess I would say a deflationary environment as assets crash followed by staggering inflation as central banks throw the kitchen sink at the economy. I heard the Reserve bank governor mention negative interest rates on the radio recently, also have read we (globally i guess) 4000 yr low rates. There are no rules, we are in unknown territory, literally anything is possible, I just pray it doesn't end in nuclear war.

What is happening here ^ ? I tried search google for this image but google thinks its a Humber Sceptre (try again AI asshole)

When/if the bubble... the question of our times, best to enjoy what you can now, if you have 100k burn it on a Mazda or whatever makes you happy (i would suggest a bunker) if the everything bubble goes then look the fuck out, end of the world as we know it.

My Mazda dash has one big crack in it, I learnt to like it years ago, its like interior patina
