Haven’t seen any updates on that car, but did speak to the owner of it at the 2019 reunion thing in Taupo and he said he was fixing it
Glad to hear.
That won't be a small or cheap fix, was a big hit.

That was such a sweet looking 7, such a shame.
Bet the owner is gutted.
What ever happened to the rx3 that got crashed into down in timaru on 4 n Rotas weekend?
Did it ever get repaired?
-
God that's awful.
I'm guessing it's Sydney based.
It's like the automotive version of an Adidas tracksuit.

Sure was.
My mate that painted it asked to use it in his display.

What a depressing game, lol.
1974 RX2 series 3 sedan
Been off the road 15 years. doh.
needed to finish
Flatten and buff paint.
Fit all chrome and exterior fittings
Carpet.
Modify my nice new exhaust to go under the diff and not over.
Cert, and anything required for cert.
Run in the engine and retune.
Skids.
Price, somewhere around $3k, but knowing me, $5k.

Got the rubbers from Mazda.
They still have quite a bit of stock for b1600's

Will be a lot of toys up for sale soon, I would think.
When the choice is pay the bills and feed the family, toys always come a very distant second.
Sad part is, no one will have the spare cash to blow on a toy.

Damn.
I need a better job.
If I know old cars, it doesn't matter if you spend $10k or $100k on buying them, they will always need something done and money spent on them.
Will the bubble burst ?
Or is this car life forever?

Wow.
Those numbers, it's not staying in NZ is it ?

Are the rumors true, did the 20bpp rx2 sedan from re-union sell for $100k ????
Awesome car, looked and sounded the business.
Didn't think we were at that price level yet though.

We do the electrical work for a few places that you could try.
Guy Norris engineering, they mainly do new truck trays, tanks, bins, that sort of thing. Like TMC but smaller.
Bob Howden engineering, they do more repairs of large equipment and custom bespoke work.
Or the wife's uncle, Tennent engineering, they do mostly structural, and building work.
Don't know if any are looking for extra staff, but could be worth a try.
If it makes a difference, they are all on the south side of Christchurch, hornby / rolleston.

Ute is looking sweet mate.
Any chance your parts ute has a mint interior light lense that you would be willing to part with ?
The one in the wife's b1600 has turned to powder .

Do love me an L200.
Yours looks like a real gem.
Should go real well with the planned engine upgrade.
Have 2 myself 4wd and 2wd . Need a replacement 4g63 for one though.

Build a bigger inn. lol.
What sort of price are you thinking for the FC ?
What was the major malfunction with the rebuild ? I can't remember that sad story, I'm getting old now .

With that face and arse it needs something to be cool, either a roudy ported or turbo rotary, or slammed on period correct 13's.
There have been some very original 808's that haven't made amazing money so you wouldn't think a merc front 929 would, especially with the current economic situation.
Have always wondered why the rx3/808 was the only variant that had such a substantial difference between the piston and rotary model, interior and body styling.
