I did a 3 second skid (sober) in a 60 year old car at the beach hop 7 years ago because some kids had a sign saying 'do a skid' so I did a wee single spinner winner from an intersection and the cops were behind me roflol.  Car impounded in Whangamata, CDL kindly gave me a ride back to Napier, court month or two later, 6 months loss of license.  That was my first dealing with the cops in anyway, couldnt use diversion.  Fine was $3-500.  Had a lawyer to try and say I need my license for work etc but that was no good.  Police said they had no problems dropping the shit but judge was like nup nup do the time sucker.

So pretty much, drink heaps of gin for the night and all will be well till you wake up.

Got a couple of BT fiddies on my watchlist also, are there any major differences between them and the Ranger?

Negative to that, I just dropped off my old works 2010 BT50 to Turners Napier, has 195km on the clock and that might go for 17-20g?   Might be worth keeping an eye on. Needs a cambelt and ideally tyres/possibly windscreen soonish.  I just bought a 2011 Ranger with 80km for 24g, super tidy, both only base model 2WD double cab with canopy, and they feel exactly the same to drive, and near identical interior wise.  But yeah bloody good utes, this is my third of that gen ranger/BT50 and I have never had any worries.  Recently got 740km to a tank of deez and that had a trip over the rimutakas in it.

Hopefully turners give it a good clean cos the wife had a whoopsie and did a mean spew out the door and got some inside and on my face and all down the side of the ute.

Whenever really, I get there tomorrow and exit the following Wednesday. Over.

We are foofing about Te Aroha and Paeroa today, mainly synopsisising second hand shops then will pop through the gorge to Waihi and get the party started.

We will be there with bells on.  Its our honeymoon adventure roflols, we will spend another week up there after it all just wagoning round the penninsula.
