How longs it been sitting for?? Good chance you have fucked the battery if it's been left uncharged. Easy way to tell is witha multi meter, or flick the main beams on and shit the starter - the lights should stay on full and bright, if they dim out your battery is poked.

Can't help with ya gearbox problem, but why a 2Y?? They're a commercial vehicle motor and not really built for anything quick/high reving.

The Muffler Shop in Papakura did the one my van - 250 bucks for 2.25 including new muffler and tip, flanging, bends and painting it black lol. They quoted me $350 to do one for the uno in 2.5 inch stuff with two mufflers and shiny tip.

If I can scam a ride with someone I might come down.
