Also will the bosch blow off valve still be alright? or should i look at upgrading it to something else? if so to what? cheers also a pic of my ever growing supra collection

  9. got a lexus afm, big thanks to supradave for the hook up also got a mk3 supra brake master cylinder that ill be bolting up to the existing mk2 booster.
  10. Decided on powder coating some of the parts that are nice and clean now due to the shot blasting, so will post pictures when i get that done. (probably next weekend) gave the car a wash today, its amazing how dirty it can get just by sitting in the garage. My lovely g/f vacuumed the interior and cleaned the glass. Need to find a new drivers side door seal (bit that attaches to the car) Anyway some pics of the cleaning action.
  11. Also got the parts needed to run the Z32 4pots, big thanks to Cruzida from toymods for the parts. Just gotta find 15mm of clearance to run the new calipers (might run some bolt on spacers)
  12. Starting to come along, this is going to be one clean engine!
  13. Basically just cleaned down and then shot blasted ($500kg for the shot!!!) looking like 2.5million bucks now.
  14. big thanks to Brendan (nite_ for sorting them out for me. just need to get me a lexus afm now and possibly an aftermarket fpr and that will be my fueling sorted
  15. than i started to get straight panels
  16. i suppose i should mention abit more of the history of this car. I drove down to palmy to look at this after seeing the following pics. I was looking at buying an st162 celica at the time, but Malcolm suggested the MA61 which was advertised on toyspeed (the old forum) at the time. Its come along way since being an $800 bucket of rust. and yes, the pics of the car being thrashed were the very first pics i saw of it
  17. Not sure if ill bother using these rotors as i might just go to slotted discs. Will probably get slotted rotors for the rear and run mintex brakes all round with better fluid. Should stop as well as it goes.
  18. just a summary of the engine work that has been done and yet to be done. I have just given my engine builder the go ahead on the block work so should have some nice crank pics to post soon. Head Acid dipped, bead blasted, decked, cam polish, valve grind and complete rebuild. HKS 1.2mm MHG and ARP Stud kit Block Acid dipped Decked Crank Polish Crank Knifeedging and de burring ACL bearings ARP Rod Bolts (to be purchased) ARP Main studs (to be purchased) Rod ends re sized (yet to be done) Shotpeened rods (Yet to be done) JE forged piston set (inc rings) Summit racing remote oil filter kit Full rotating assembly balance (yet to be done) Will be running a gt3582R ball bearing turbo and pretty confident that this set up with the rest of the bolt ons will make the goal of 500hp at the engine. Expected time of completion is now December 07.
  19. just working out most suitable ratio and then taking diff into Diffs R Us for install/set up.
  20. man this is getting expensive.. i must be well on my way to "street cred" just some more bushes for the rear and maybe a new white line sway bar
  21. thought id better update this possibly one of my best purchases to date.. ok not really (those jes are)
  22. supra ct26 is alot different to sw20/st185 ct26 be looking at 400hp easy with upgraded ct26 on a 7mgte. bhgs are only a worry if you dont know what you are doin, or you buy an engine that hasnt been looked after. They come factory with the headbolts torqued to 54 ft lbs which if you know a thing or two, you will realise thats way too low. My arp head stud kit recommends 84 ft lbs or there abouts. nice wagon btw, should go well with the 7mgte in there. Feel free to email me any questions about the swap to m_adair@xtra.co.nz as ive done a 7mgte into my ma61. cheers
  23. got off my ass today and started to clean the engine bay. We didnt paint it when we painted the car, so it will be getting done soon.
  24. huge K&N, just gotta find me a lexus afm and some 550cc injectors.
