  1. Hey regarding that bumper, Of it's the one it always had sorry its bent. I drove into the back of @Shaz lancer leaving the ferry terminal. Also also also, Dont lose those bumper bar brackets! They changed them about a year into the production run. I had a Lot of trouble finding those early ones. (I think I got some of Snail eventually) that's why it came with a few sets of irons. Ps, Love your work homie.

    Power files

I just ordered the tool shed one. No one ever regrets buying tools.
  3. I like to regurgitate things that I've heard properly clever people say to make people think I'm a lot smarter than I really am. (But threads like this reinforce my suspision that I'm not that smart after all) My two cents on this whole thing, (Prepare a grain of salt?to dismiss completely) A book I read once said that those full bell shaped trumpets outflow the old school style ones. (maybe inside an airbox, I dont recall exactly) and with the glorious video with the huge long PVC tubes, (Her indoors indignantly asked me to close the door if I'm going to watch loud videos like that) I would wonder about the suitibiltiy of that diameter tube over that length? A 1600 is a pretty small engine. And the ID of that tube wouldnt be much (if any) smaller than the intake runners on a crysler 413/426 cross ram. (Thats knocking on 7000cc, or close to four and a half 4age's) With the trumpets at their shortest, it was just about getting the air in. But I would ask how fast the column or air was moving in the longest runner test/what was the velocity like? Ive seen a number of examples on the exhaust size where smaller diameter longer primary pipes make more power. Yes I barely grasp the concept of fluid dynamics. But I know that a 5 inch system on a 3K wont do much good. Not throwing stones, just agreeing with thats formerly been said that there are a LOT of variables to be considered. Also car makers have some very very clued up cunts working for them. and they have thousands of hours of R&D and testing under their colective belts.
  4. Sweet whip bruh. Does it have UJ's on the rear half shafts, or CV joints?
  5. I've had good.results by bleeding with a syringe to suck the juice through. Also with a rebuild master make sure you get all the air out of the master cylinder
  6. This is a click like the one a really really old remote control car made (the kind with a cord from the controller to the car) when you kept making it turn once it reached full lock
  7. Watching that video is like doing it again. Fuck I enjoyed the Motu last year. I think that says a lot about how punishing the rest of the gravel was.....
  8. Who.knows about heat pumps? Our Daikin makes a shitty noise when the side to side Louvre tries to sweep the extremities of its travel in each direction. It doesnt appear to go all the way? The clicking noise is shit.
  9. Looking at that picture at not 9 oclock at night it doesnt look so bad after all. Plus only $2-300nzd for parts. Hopefully never needs doing. But it doesnt look like the end of the world.
  10. I'm an oil change every 8000 kind of guy with mine. (Speaking of which, its due in another 300kms. but fortunately supershitauto had 5-30 edge half price last week)
  11. As a VQ35 owner, these tales give me the willies.......
  12. Do those timing chains fuck.put because if lack of maint, or cos they're shit? I've heard they're known to.stretch.
  13. Holy fuck that water pump has next to no belt wrap! I'm going to do nothing I think.
  14. PK belts, Theres no.reduction in their lifespan if these are wound around tensioners yeah? I'm sure @- i5oogt - old b25m50 had a belt about four feet long that wound around all manor of tensioners. I've relocated the alternator on.my ute, and the sweep of the tensioner means theres not a great deal belt wrap on the alternator pulley. I'm thinking a smallish pulley mounted on a conveniently placed bolt hole on the motor will increase the wrap considerably.
  15. It will defo be irs. The manual swap wont be hard. I manual swapped s 910 once. Piece of piss. I cant see marketplace on my phone. But I think 6k is a wee bit steep. Itd be a cool base to start with though.
  16. Biggest drawback is the factory management. @kiwi510 had once once. (In his 510 no less) he added an addition external.spring to the wastegate arm. But over about 9psi he experienced detonation issues. Later a CA18det CAS was fitted to the dizzy, (with the internal disc flipped, because the cam and a dizzy rotate opposite directions) along with all the CA18 afm/tps/etc/etc. With a view to tune it using a nistune tool. However he sold it. The new owner fitted an SR, and the motor ended up in another 510, running a link. Some.years back.another bloke I knew had a z18et with a link in a ke70 racecar. That would pop head gaskets at around the 230-250 hp mark.
  17. They sure are. I have to say that something about this thread is very satisfying to follow.
  18. If I was going for a modern engine then VQ35de would be the go. Not stupid money, (no drift tax) tons of power, and plentiful. But for.ease the a15 is pretty easy too. Dont go 4k. A15 have bigger valves.
  19. Man I wish this was right now. A pack of 40 lunatics on small shit bikes running the illegal blockade. It could be a sequel to the Nigelwade movie.
  20. You can buy relays that go open circuit when energized. So just wire one of those in off the oil light sender.
  21. I havent powered mine up to hear how it sounds, but Subaru leone have a low pressure fuel pump. They're very hard to find on the car if you're pulling one off a wreck. (I had to ring Subaru Richard to ask where the fuck on the car Subaru hid them) But as a lift pump for my 620 I've bought one off rock auto. Typical rock auto prices too. I think the second cheapest one they had (I never buy the very cheapest one off there, well, almost never) was like $23usd. And its brand new. Someone once.said that those low pressure pumps get less rowdy once they're dead headed. They drop.back to a slower speed.
  22. Be prepared for a number far far below the one stated above.
