  1. all that cost 1300 nz except fucking gst, had to pay 190 before customs would release it... anything over 1000nz has gst. postage was 100nz and it weighed 8kg. Calipers cost 500nz(pair) and supposedly bolt straight onto where the m16 calipers were, they come with mounting brackets too, I bought wilwood pads too burton told me that the pads are quite hard to find, was 125nz for them. I also have a billet aluminium thermostat housing and a billet oil breahter coming over too
  2. you could tip some oil out and if its still good then chances are that the gearbox isnt too bad. If it was worn or whatever the oil would be black and/or have metal in it

  6. hey, whats the measurement edge to edge of the spring seats on capri struts? between the inner edges i mean
  7. in my gt3 book it has the power/weight ratios weight divided by power, dont know why its the other way around but its easier to comprehend when its like that, ie the lower the number the better pinto escort = 8.2 s15 silvia = 7.8 evo 7 = 6.8 ca18 escort = 6.15 shelby cobra = 2.9 (365kw and weighs 1070kg)
  8. oh its a security thing, maybe just find some way of padlocking the door handles to the door or something so they cant open it lol
  9. oh interior, any reason for not wanting them on the inside?
  10. what about all those show cars with shaved handles etc they all have wofs
  11. think about it. if there was only 12 ever made do you think that ford would design a completely new vehicles when they could just pirate parts from other models??? a cheap example is using the 1600 crossflow on multiple vehicles
  12. yeah it is your engine taken a little while for me to get off my bum and get it ready to go into the car, if you could find a pair of sidedrafts and a manifold for under a grand i could be keen. Im going to paint my engine bay before i put in the engine so it will be a while until its ready to go in.
  13. hmm i'll have a look at other 32/36's but i got it off a 1600 sport but maybe it was changed at some point
  14. the thing hitting the burton cover is that what you call a large image?
  15. im just testing out putting my carb on and some little piping thingy hits the rocker cover, anyone know how i can get it further away or something? can you use double gaskets on the inlet manifold or something? its a 32/36 weber onto 1600 sport manifold onto a 1600 xflow
  16. i want the gartrac pdf too if anyone has it
  17. ive just had a look at the escort and cortina restoration book and it says that compression struts were used instead of anti roll bars, theres a kit on the burtonpower website part number RD193 for 123pounds. could you get better tca's?
  18. i just got my rear leaves done at snells springs who can compress and even make custom springs, my dad talked to the guy about compressing and customs but the owner said that kings would beat his springs anyday haha, coming from the owner. I think if you want super low springs then maybe you could get custom coil overs because they can be cut to any length but they would set you back a rather large sum because you need custom struts
  19. an mx5 engine would be cool, my sister has a mx5 and even though its a girly car its a very nice car to drive and the engine has 115bhp standard which isnt too bad for a 1600
  20. i dont know if it will fit, everyone seems to talk about using them so i just assumed... never assume anything or you'll make an ASS of U and ME what did you do for your driveshaft methodz100?
