  1. yea you can. id goto http://www.burtonpower.com and get them to send you a free catalogue, there really good. but yea if your gona get side draughts, you really need extractors and ported head and that. ive spent over 3 grand on my motor now and its still not done... should have just got a SR20 or a rota. but yea just my 2 cents
  2. i paid $400 for a set of twin 40 DCOE's off trade me and $300 for a brand new intake manifold from kelford, i havnt fitted them yet but i am told you might have to watch out for clearance of the dizzy if you use a small manifold, but if you get a new high rise one u should be sweet

  7. hey i just joined this board a few days ago. i got a 1980 mk2 escort that im slowly doin up this motor for. proving to be a slow project. coz as im sure you all know, new bits for old skool cars = expensive. all i need is a performance distributor really to get it goin plus a few other bits, like my fly wheel machined for the sierra clutch. and also need to get my carbies tuned. so if anybody knows any one id be willin to pay. cheers
  8. haha cheers man. dont know anybody who can tune webers do you...
  9. youd be better off putting 1300 pistons in your 1600 block and keeping the 1600 head. then you get the high compression and the 1600 ports. the 1300 pistons have a smaller bowl which raisies the compression, thats what im doin with mine, what do ya think?
