Do you have a engine oil cooler? They can make a decent difference to coolant temp, especially on a turbo engine.

Another weekend and another collection of rust

There is down side to owning multiple homes, things that you want can be at the other house when you want them. So I own a panel folder but have to improvise like I used to.

So on the other corner the outer skin looks good but with a skim coat of pb since the other corner seemed thin under the lead I ground it back to find lots of rust holes. Before I started I thought it would be easier to cut the lower 75mm of the skin off rather than infolding the edge to repair the inner. Maybe next time.

I don't like lead. I thought I ground enough away, obviously not. But also finding more rust under the lead

I will get the other body home before I decide if they are too far gone. Anyway back to the door, I cut up a e46 bmw for this patch to save on bending time

There's not much holding the B pillar on obviously the rubber gasket between cab and rear was a bad idea.

So I cut into the outer skin to cut the large bit so I welded them but found the lead skim coat that was under the bog skim coat

So I purchased another project even though I already have two project house's and three project cars. So I purchased two vehicles for $229 one with rego on hold I still have to pick up the bodies but I have brought home two car loads and one trailer of the junk. I have already rebuilt a spare carb and made sure the engine ran ok while on the trailer. So here is a upside down door with rust.

My uncle in his 70s is going a bit down hill with his memory, mobility, and has cancer. He's a original rodder from the 60s and loves his cars. I was waiting take him out for a day he will like as he has not done much for the last two years after his wife passed apart from going to funerals for his siblings and cousins So I was wanting to know recommendations for a day time meet in the eastern waikato or close enough that's coming up Pic for inspiration
