  1. As I understand it, (this may be nonsense or old outdated info) if you wanted to run fixed back buckets you would have to remove the rear seats and belts and reclassify.  There may be a loophole if you run a single driver's fixed back bucket.

I might be incorrect in that though because I was considering putting a extensive half cage in at the same time.

I was going to do that but then I found some Porsche seats that @64valiant is reupholstering for me.

Definitely an easier option to get some modern sports car buckets.

  2. You recall misinformation correctly.  Generated in the same era when people decided it was impossible for the Japanese to do anything themselves and so all of their tech must have come from elsewhere.

    No.

L-gata is not a Mercedes copy. That's nonsense spread by idiots.

Prince did have some licensing agreements for their G-series but as I understand it, it was component not complete and Prince had nothing to do with Nissan during that juncture.  L-gata design and development took place prior to the merger between the companies.

Some guy asked "does it have a cert for widebody"

Surely this isn't a thing if the parts are bolt on replacement front guards, glued/clipped on bumper extensions, I.e. no welding

If the rear quarters have had the arch cut (which they probably should have to be able to properly fit a widebody) then as I understand it, that needs cert.
