yeah 4door is setup for 2.0L everything been cut/made bigger etc.. dont want to sell just yet as got a few small things to sort out with the coupe but yeah i might be interested in selling.

i just used the esky rails they lined up on 1 side with the holes in the floor but had to make my own holes on the other side. as it was like a inch away from them. Soo all i had to do was drill 2 holes for each seat should be sweet for cert as ill just say there on esky rails as they are. Wont say anything about the new holes i put in the floor for them

hey esky boi before ur engine blew the gasket u set ur lifters to 8 thou inlet and 10 thou outlet aye? did it make a differences?

let me know how it goes.. tuned my car today put the timing light over it found out it was retarded fixed that up still not happy with the 32/36 carby as when i floor it get the revs up it makes the car sound louder then what it really is the 40/40 carby was far better but the 32/36 will do intill i get twin sideys The car will rev to 6000 no problems without valve bouncing etc.. also still not happy with the brakes they work well but could be alittle bit better i noticed today that at the top of the brake booster where u keep the brake fuild i noticed it leaks.. but i cant find any leaks/cracks anywhere and the lid is on properly. other then that its already for new supension

just reading what u put in ur update i also have rattly lifters not too bad but annoying i think its just how the pinto is aye.

yep like the whole car dies but i havnt tuned the carby yet, yeah i do notice the differences between the carb but i think the 32/36 will do the job good once tuned and will do me intill i get twin sideys but then again ive got it idling at 500rpm so its lumpy as but when i put the 32/36 carby on my car it sounded so much better then the 40/40 At one stage before i put my rear muffer on it sounded like a rotory hopefully get my video camera working on my pc lost the software for it but yeah ill try record a video of it then u will be able to hear it

hey bro any luck getting ur car to idle on 32/36 carby? as mine does at like 500rpm too! but i think i need to tune it up abit because it likes to die when ur in second and nearly stoped hehehehe ill be tuning it tomorrow tho but yeah it idles at 500rpm on the 32/36 with a lumpy cam let me know how ur getting along

just a tiny little update ripped off the 40/40 carb and well u know what happen all the petrol fell out the bottom no wonder the car was running so ruff. anyways put a 32/36 carby on still had the same problem with the brake and revs then Put the rear muffer on the car and the problem i had is nearly gone can barely notice it now wierd 32/36 carby made my car idle heaps better real lumpy sounded like a rotary before i put the rear muffer on. I had too this thing was way too loud!!! still goes alright got abit of a deadspot when u floor it nothing abit of tuning wont fix

i was running my 40/40 carby on my 1600 engine before i went over to 2litre and it worked a treat no lag lotsa of torque.

ahh what about can u get them brandnew from rip co or somewhere? also will this problem always be there ? or just with this carby?? or maybe i should try another carby just in case?

i dont even know what a vac tank looks like dont think ive ever seen one

well still got the 40/40 on there had a play with the mixtures and yep thats the problem got it to the best i can get it without having any gear. so when i press the brake now it drops the revs instead of making them go sky high and while driving it sweet as and after awhile u can idle and touch the brakes and it stays at the same idle. i think i need a vac tank? pretty sure that would solve my problem car also going alot better then what it was still not 100% but never is intill its on the dyno aye

yeah i didnt really wanta put it back on the car, but didnt have any other carby. I striped most of it and replace the parts with what i had left in my rebuilt kit but yeah i think ill go for another carby for the mo even if its a 32/36 carb should still go alright
