    ok, heres the story hori (get the dozen ready ) rang a couple volvo wreckers and they said for a mean car like yours just go for something new. the old volvo calipers they have are pretty sad. had a nice chat with a chick at one wrecker's that said she personally wouldnt touch them, she said they have some old volvo 4pots but they actually look even sadder than some VW single pots that they have. your best bet is to get some Willwood brand new ones that will get over the disk no prob but you'll have to make up some mounting brackets cause the odds of them bolting up are 1/1000000. they are "dynalite" (smaller) at $248+ gst each or "superlite" (bigger) at $298+gst, so its does cost an arm and a leg but personally id say your car is worth it available from Cardwell Racing Supplies , 32 William Pickering Dve Albany Auckland, 0-9-415 1388, also "Race Brakes" at 0800 brakes! ill se what else is out there

  15. make shure the engine mounts are done up, been there before use to shake the shit out of the xflow happened onmy delta too and used to make the exhaust hit the xmember doubt its the same fukt up thing but u never know

    im pretty shure the 1300 and 1600 boxes are the same, unless youre talking rs or mex or something dunno bout speeds tho coz ive always ran a 5speed and never had a speedo

  20. if you already got the box and got plenty of info, i s'pose that 4age is just as good a conversion as any other. wont need to modify things as heavily as you would with a sr/rotang turbo motor. 4age is very well established in motorsport and mods and is a nice little alloy engine with 120 or so hp, plus very force feedable. worth it if youre keen and gonna do it right.

    yeah, its just up to the manifold.. oh and the annoying throtle linkage thingy for the accelerator cable, which can be annoying
  24. although i dont even think youll have to mod the mounts to tell you the truth.. might just be able to use another model standy mounts like early cortina or something. a mate of mine droped a 3l 6 in his 4dr mk2 and didnt even mod the mounts, or maybe just trimmed the rubber bits to fit it in. just chuk your battery in the boot for extra space and mod the sump. not a 100 percent tho
