  1. Shit I can't believe you lot moaning about the HUGE distance to the Mount!! WHATEVER!! Well if any ARE interested in the Mount, if it's say... Saturday avo next week... then you could possible tent it on my lawn and have some drinks too... I don't think I'm busy that weekend...

  5. Yeah well not being near my computer cause I was in Auckland didn't help We only had 3 Dattos after the show on Sat anyway. My phone went flat when I got to town and had no charger either SUCKED ASS!! Otherwise I would have tried to get hold of someone somehow! I know we WERE invited after I said something But I mean if you wanted more then it'd pay not to just head up the topic as ESCORT MEET etc. Just an idea... Cool cars too by the way

  7. If you wanted numbers then you should have run an OLDSCHOOL cruise... not just an Escort one! We could have had 5 DOCNZ Dattos meeting at Cornwall Park before we went to the show on Sat. What day did you lot end up meeting anyway and where were those pics from?

  9. Yeah that's why me and a bunch of the Datto guys and girls aren't going to the drags this year! Taking the risk of parking the Dattos at the show, but probably do our own Datto mish somewhere on Sun after we recover from our booze up Sat night. Rather just go to Nightspeeds and see most of the same cars with less wankers around and a cheaper price!
  10. Yeah man, something that can't be guessed aye! Dyno the only REAL way! Seem to be a few Supercharged 1200s around the country now! The others are using the bigger SC14 unit from the 1G-GZE though on A series and a CA18DET... now without the T Guess it could now be called a CA18DEZ

  14. What are you finding hard about setting the valve clearances?? That's one of the EASY jobs when you know the correct process!

I'll be down in Welly on Waitangi weekend, would be keen to come meet up with ya and check this beast out! Prob won't have any of my Dattos down there though... will have to see. Otherwise there will be a convoy of Dattos heading down to Dunedin at the end of Feb for our big Southern Festival of Speed show/meet. Gimme a yell on 027 2548017 if you are keen.

    firing order

    Only thing that makes the difference between 1-3-4-2 and 1-2-4-3 is the camshaft. The bottom end stays the same with both orders, 1-4 are always at TDC at the same time and same with 2-3, so it all just depends which cylinder they wanted to make fire first. Michael said bout the 1-5-3-6-2-4 order, they can get REALLY confusing! On a straight six you've got 1-6 together, 2-5 and 3-4. So this means you can have possible firing order of 1-5-3-6-2-4 1-2-3-6-5-4 1-5-6-3-2-4 1-2-6-3-2-4 But that's just with that crankshaft setup... also possible for a straight six to be 1-3-5-6-4-2 1-4-5-6-3-2 1-3-6-5-4-2 1-4-6-5-3-2 Lucky I didn't pick a V10 or something!
