  3. my car got hot, it hits a temp related boost cut and rev cut so, so when it that i just gave up
  4. cheers bro best time was a low 13 again was struggling for traction off the line with my new puk clutch, cant feather it like i used to and wasnt getting enough grip from the r888s, 2nd gear prestage burnouts seemed to help that a bit tho i also missed a few gears (hit 5th when going for 3rd twice!) burnout comp was annoying as i hit temp cut real quick so just had to give up, heres a vid someone posted up on msport

  8. how much camber do you want? ive got roughly 2degress just with starion struts and arms in my lancer

  10. blew my clutch up tonight, well i assume its clutch, cant even start it the starter just locks up on the flywheel i think gears still go in fine so dont think gbox no over heating problem tho hopefully 4puk clutch for nats this weekend cud b interesting

    yea rad size isnt an issue plus its 3 rowed now dunno wat ur on about yea caboon its definately airflow when sitting stationary, i was just after ideas on ways to improve this, half the people helping seem to have missed this point completely hopefully try out my shroud one day during the week, just gotta get some new oil lines sorted twomorrow cos the old ones no longer fit

    thermostat sender?? only thing ex still there is the factory temp gauge sender gauge the thermostat is a vr4 one and the coolant temp sender which talks to the ecu is the factory vr4 one, turns fans on etc heres my shroud i made hopefully it does the trick, the fan looks bigger than it is cos its pushed to the lefthand side of the rad to clear the thermostat housing where can you buy that water wetter shit? just like repco etc im guna look into putting a small fan on the oil cooler too

    intercooler guna space the bonnet exhaust manifold and dump pipe are wrapped and turbo has a beanie im running the line from the rear of the head under the inlet manifold with the thermo housing sitting just by the throttle lines are the same size as a vr4 basically no airlock as runs fine temp everywhere else i have run the heater pipes from the rear of the water pump to the thermo housing to premote flow when the cars cold so the water doesnt get trapped in the head with the thermo being so far away, was possibly thinking maybe this doesnt help as when the car heats up its just circulating a decent quantity of water that never gets cooled?

    yea as far as im aware thats the reason for them, pumping water faster doesnt cool your car better unless ur pump is not sufficent, the longer the water stays in the block the hotter it gets for sure, but if ur pumping it through the block faster then your pumping it through the rad faster too which means less time to cool i made a meke as shroud at work today went to fit it and now my fan touches my front pulley!!! the shroud only sits like 20mm off the rad core too im not sure if making one 10mm deep will allow enough air to flow through the core??

    its a electric fan cant run a belt one as no room and its a vr4 engine in ex lancer ive basically got the biggest rad i can fit in there no room either side really the core is roughly 475mm by 350mm , and im hesitant to change it as it cost me almost $500 ive got 50/50 water coolant at the mo does that water wetter shit actually work? yea cars run shrouds factory, are the newer shrouds on cars that blocked off?im only used to seeing older cars with clutch fans and half shrouds but i think newer cars have full cover shoruds correct? im basically limited by the fact ive got fuck all room so the shroud would only be able to be around 10mm deep not allow much area behind the core before the air hits the metal then has to go through the hole where the fan is EDIT:cos ky got in before me i think yowz meant as in it wont effect my temps/flow through rad when driving pipes dont go near the exhuast but the one from the rear of the head goes right under the inlet manifold/next to the block i think my cooling sytem is adequate as it rules while moving and when stopped it traffic the fan is able to take temps down well enough to turn off after a short while, it just doesnt seem to keep up when giving it assholes second edit cos req got in too cant fit a fan on front as intercooler is there

    hey guys im having some trouble with my car heating up during b-owts and it hitting a temp related rev/boost cut real easy not good coz i wanna huss the bags at nats coming up so anyone got ideas on how to make my cooling system better while stationary? its allready got a new 3 row lancer turbo rad 14inch fan mounted hard against the core (cant fit anything larger on there, the 14 just fits) im thinking of raising the rear of the bonnet a bit to allow ir to flow out a bit better? also making up a shroud to incase the whole of the radiator so the fan is pulling air from all over it like this just worried to how this would effect open road driving? my cooling system performs mint everywhere else its just doing skids it packs a sad quick
  19. yea def go adjustable panhard something not quite as rugged as sentra suggested is get a factory adjustable arm (castor arm or anything) out of toyotas etc and cut them up then sleeve them over the panhard and bang ur done thats how my top adjustable arms for my diff were made that way you can adjust it in car too
  20. i thinksigma 2l and l200 are the same spline count (23) never had a sigma box so cant confirm but would be very suprised if they arent from all the info i know of whereas the smaller sigma boxes and the lancer boxes are 20 spline?? (my 4 speed lancer box was) dont be fooled cos your shifter hosuing looks like the l200 one (r/h one) cos all the ex lancer boxes look like this aswell and will bolt up to a 2litre motor
  21. yea have to buy that personalised plate then you can put them on a car i know of a couple of vintage/classic car guys that still had there old plates but were dereged etc so bought them as personalised plates then just chucked the original black ones on and the white ones are hanging in there garages sucks now if you dont have the original plates as the font has changed

  23. modifying bumpstops is technically illegal but everyone cuts them, just do a tidy job of it and tidy it up with a snader etc so it looks factory and youl be fine
  24. cheers fuel never seen a single cam head like that, was wondering how they would get enough lobes on the cam l300 gearbox is onepeice bellhousing and gears with the shifter housing like the km132 still even in the 7 bolts i believe
