Hi guys So my name is Dewald, from South Africa and moved here a while ago. With me I brought my 1979 Mk2 Ford Escort 1600 Sport. I have owned her from 2004 and been changing her to suit my taste over the years. My first big mod was changing the engine from carb to EFI and adding a turbocharger. I then spent 4 years enjoying her and getting into a couple of drag races. Once I met my now wife I pulled her of the road and did a paint resto. I spent a year doing the colour change and a few interior changes plus new wheels. From there it snowballed to an engine rebuild, turbo upgrade, new intake plenum, new exhaust system and front brake upgrade. That is where were sitting at, she was used as a daily driver to work and back till moving here. I plan on doing the same again once she's registered on N.Z soil.
