  1. Got the accelerator pedal all sorted and the radiator mounted. Was finally able to push her outside to get a better look at where I’m at. thought it looks pretty good..may have to move rear wheel arch back a little more to get the gaps a bit closer and more tire clearance.
  2. Haven’t posted for awhile but finally got the firewall all cut out. went to pick a part and found a 82 corolla booster and pedal assembly..couldn’t believe how compact it was..should give me enough clearance for the headers.I was going to run it un boosted but definately is a bonus. my girls bought me an alloy radiator for a v8 hk holden and it fits perfect in there. mate I sold my Chevy nova to gave me a free gas tank as he had three laying around the garage( he said he’s a collector but horder is probably more like it.) any way was a great gift..will weld 2x2 alloy box under it to lift it up to clear rear chassis rails.
  3. Finally got the body sitting where I want it to. starting work on the firewall.
  4. Back ends got a couple of inches to drop so we’re right we’re I need it at this stage.
  5. Got the body on for a mock up to see we’re we are. As you can see there’s not enough weight in the car yet to get the springs at ride height..it’s about 1 inch and 1/4 off at the moment. Ive also decided to open up the firewall and smooth it out to give me more options for headers, steering and brake master cylinders.
  6. There’s not much chance of restoring this now the main rails are gone. hopefully get the trans mount welded up this week then it’s time to drop the body on to see we’re we are at.
  7. Thanks for the great feedback. is that your valiant in your profile?..looks awesome.
  8. Motor all in..just the trans mount to weld up and panhard bar once the bodies on with all weight in it.
  9. Chassis patiently waiting for the engine and trans
  10. Hi Freightrain...I am trying to keep a lot of the old styling from what we ran back in the day. even tho the front end looks modern it is still based off a 74-78 mustang 11.. thats part of the reason for the drum brakes and igot them in a clearance sale on summit racing so they were cheap. hope you like it so far. im trying to have the body on the chassis by the end of the year.
  11. So the 4.11 heads in and the Moser 31 spline axles are sorted. currie 11 inch drums. just need to weld the rear shock crossmember in and it’s a rolling chassis.
