Cops are clueless and shouldnt have the authority to “inspect” shit they know nothing about.
now it’ll be a costly RE check right

Took the Mrs for her first taste of old junk driving after work.
she even got to experience all the dorts of the 4age.
she approves. Even said “it is cool”
she ask how those non retracting seatbelts are supposed to save lives haha

That is similar to my vision for the ute.
but I lack sewing skills, so glue and staples it is -

Keen to see updates on this again once you're back into it.
Kind of lost motivation when my work ute got nicked.
should be back into it soon.
hard to decide how deep I want to rip into it. So many things I’d like to do

Shit yeah! Now the 4age modification rabbit hole can be opened
That rabbit hole is quite deep indeed.
it’ll have to wait until the ute is finished, I’m not ready for that stress level again
turbo sounds tempting though haha

Generic barrel type oil pressure sensor should do the trick for the oil pieces (2 wire type), oil temp should use a generic type temp sensor as well usually a single wire.
tacho is fairly straightforward with diagrams online, usually:
acc + (red)
earth (black)
light + (yellow)
coil - (green)
may be a couple of wires on that to change from 4/6/8 cylinder

I got 4sqm of this stuff, but on a roll: https://themarket.com/nz/p/20pcs-car-truck-vibration-sound-deadening-mat-2.7mm-butyl-rubber-sound-deadeners/5110-BD-32298?siq=e7bb167e-e77d-46c0-be72-ba2cb416728f&sii=5110BD-32298&mode=io
I haven't got around to using it yet, but put a small piece on my hydraulic press beam to see how well it stuck. Seemed to do ok. Certainly won't be the best on the market sticky wise, but it's thick for the price. Going to do it in next few months if you're not in a hurry I can report back if it's good / dogshit.20pcs for $100 seems pretty decent if it does the trick.
think I’ll look into this stuff to do the hunter when it’s finally back from cert

haven’t been up to much lately.time was taken up with school holidays and trying to get work through the door.
but I have cut back the guide coat, found a couple of lows. Nothing major though, so I’m pretty chuffed so far.
working on the door skins now.
needed a bit of motivation, so I slapped the headlights, surrounds and grille onto the front.
the more I look at the guards the more I contemplate how I’m going to tackle it.
I think I’ll get some spare guards and go about it slightly different.
I also need to try and find another rx3 drivers side guard cos this one is munched at the bottom.
but other than that, I only have 2 small repairs to do on the floors.
I want to lift the deck off it so I can do the back of the cab, tidy the chassis, do the exhaust and then tackle the ugly deck work.would be nice to find a local panel beater who is keen on cashies
anyway, here’s some Thursday motivation

Interesting, was planning on going to MRP for fortune auto's, may have to sniff around stech...
He’s pretty knowledgeable, he also helped to sort my brake upgrade.
may be even try to convince him to do the rack swap too

I had my front coilovers made by Chris at suspension tech around $1600 with the test report.
they slammed the bejeebers out of the hunter and ride better than any off the shelf Coilover I’ve used

Thought I’d better do something with the ute besides stack shit on it.
primered and guide coated the sections that are done with filler.
only had 2 sections on the doors to finalise and the sills which are actually straight anyway.
once piece on the cowl corner to do too.
haven’t decided if im going to fit a factory aerial into the pillar or fill the hole… hmmm

I thought it would be the same as a nait tag for cows.
your given your tags, you use them as you need and just enter all info online and submit. Cow goes on its merry way.
shut, with all the modern technology we have and the amount the end user pays, you’d think they’d get with the times more efficiently.
must suck for you guys @cletus

Awesome, cheers Clint

If a vehicle goes in for a cert and is all tickety booh on that day on inspection.
how long is the process from there?
I remember my first cert was around a 2 week wait between the inspection and plate being attached.
is it still the same with the current system?
