^^also have a spot spot for those full on late 90s style bright colours

    Tonka style!!

I have 4l of chocolate brown, but was going to paint RX3UTE that colour.

also considering doing this one in the brown and hit RX3UTE with it’s original lemon yellow again.

or considered a baby blue on this one.

I do like factory style colours, just so clean and simple

  2. Currently looking into making a whole new loom for both ute’s.
being 40 years old, the wiring is a mess.

hoping I can figure out the pin outs on all of the factory switches.

will get a universal loom kit. Just need to figure out how many circuits I need.

probably a 14 for one and a 21 for the bagged ute as it has electric seats, pumps, and may end up with a couple of actuators

Good score on that new ute, lots of goodies with it, be a cool car to just roll around in.

Yeah I’m pretty keen to make it a clean simple build and cruise it.
I’ll still bag the other one.

wouldn’t mind swapping the 12at for a 13b bp for it. Not a slider at all, so can use a s1 box with it. ( I have 2 x s1 boxes and the s2 turbo box).

RX3UTE can stay the weekend show pony with the rowdy J

  5. thoughts on these numbers?

I was looking at the ute this morning for about 10 mins.

turns out that the shorter 4 link bars are a perfect length to utilise the factory leaf spring forward mount point with the diff mount set vertically(plumb).

so I took some further measurements and allowed for some more low for ride height.

used the longer arms for the uppers to get an idea of what could happen.. jotted down some numbers and bashed it into the calculator.

Now im not sure if ive measured everything correctly or even entered them into the right place on the calculator.

I do know that where I had originally measured for the forward upper points, it made the IC about 1200 in front of diff centre.

So I just adjusted the forward height to get it out more to the front bumper area.

    Is that right?

All the info I find online is for offroad use, so nowhere near where this will be.

  6. Walked into the workshop this morning, the front flare had fallen off overnight.

Must say I also prefer the no flare look with super deep chromos .

    in other dumb purchase news:

I picked up a GM electric power steering unit today. Not sure what I’ll use it for yet. But will work well with a Yaris rack or something like that for a rack conversion.
