If you have the gray square stock injectors and an early big port ECU you don't need to run the ballast resisters.

Only the AE92 pink ones run the resisters

If thats the case it would save my arse..

Have been searching everywhere for a suitable resistor, got lots of resistance, but no luck

  2. Thanks bud, updates will be small and far apart for a while.

Need to get the hunter on the road, then try and get the wrx ready for an event, but its just bolting seats back in, add belts and a few little bits before the paperwork stuff..

Id love to go full hog into it, but lotto has been slacking

  3. Pintos arent as readily available as they once were, and most that are left behind arent worth touchingvthese days.

Most 80s engines are very scarce now.

Early 90s are getting harder to get hold of.

The mitsy 4g63 and 4g93 are awesome in rwd..reasonably available still aswell.

  4. For something epic in a 105e, id be looking down the rs focus motor with a rx8 box.

All conversion parts are sourced out of the UK..go like snot in standard form.

So many aftermarket add ons available.

With just about any swap youd be looking at firewall mods, suspension and brake upgrades anyway.

    Throw in an quaife lsd.

Would be a fun little nugget

  5. From what ive googled, some had it, some didnt.. I dunno.

If anything helps, its got grey injectors..

Been told its the early version.

Have also been told that the ones that had an afm instead of the map sensor ran a ballast box.

Shit gets confusing tbh, why do they have to make so many changes

  6. Punched a hole through the firewall for the loom.

    Its safely grommeted.

Ecu is wired up, new fuse box and relays set.

I only need to source some suitable ballast resistors for the injectors, finish wiring connection for this.

Also need to get a power distribution post to connect the stock power feeds aswell as the starter cable to the battery etc. Ive refitted yhe battery tray, and will use a small drycell battery like what i used in my stockcar and rallycar.

Ive even mounted the hard fuel line and return. Fuel pump will now mount under the car without a surge tank because i wont have time to make a "firewall" for the boot area.

  7. So ive been looking at the surge tank set up for the hunter.

Have a bosch pump and a generic surge tank.

This photo shows how i think it could be mounted.

Ill mount the tank and pump to an offcut of ally 200x50 so that it can all lay on the same plane.

Floor area in the boot is not flat.

This piece will have tabs welded off it for mounting to the body.

    Now the fuel lines.

Can they run into the "spare wheel well" then through the skin via grommets to get them under the car?

Ill be runnjng hardlines front to back, with efi line connecting both ends and surge tank etc.

Lift pump is mounted under the car as its was running the 12a.

Am i right in thinking the line at the top of the surge tank is a breather and gets vented through the floor?
